Alicia's School of Dance Introduce
For families across the Granite State, finding a local activity that balances fun, skill-building, and a sense of community can be a treasure. Alicia's School of Dance, nestled in the heart of Loudon, New Hampshire, is one such gem. This studio is more than just a place to learn dance steps; it’s a nurturing environment where students are taught to "LOVE dance." It's a place where children and adults alike can grow, not just in their abilities, but in their confidence and personal development. The ethos of the studio is built on the belief that dance is for everyone, regardless of their experience or ability. This is reflected in the diverse range of classes and the personal attention given to each and every student.
The studio has a long history of serving the Loudon community, having grown from a small studio to a thriving school with over a hundred students. This growth is a clear indicator of the trust and positive experience that families have found here. As a long-time member and parent noted, they have watched "hundreds of students walk in the doors and move throughout the studio," many of whom have grown from beginners into award-winning performers. This speaks volumes about the quality of instruction and the supportive atmosphere that Alicia has cultivated. It is a place where dedication is rewarded and hard work leads to tangible success, such as "winning numerous performance awards ranging from high golds to platinum."
At Alicia's School of Dance, the focus is on a holistic approach to dance education. The instructors understand that not every student aspires to be a professional dancer, but every student deserves a high-quality, positive experience. They are dedicated to helping each individual reach their full potential, whether that means mastering a new routine or simply gaining confidence in their movements. The studio's commitment to its students goes beyond the dance floor; the owner is "highly involved in the local community and public and always giving back." This community-first mentality creates a tight-knit and loyal group of students and families who feel a strong sense of belonging. The studio is described as a place where friendships are formed and a family atmosphere is created, making it a home away from home for many.
The studio’s commitment to providing a supportive and encouraging environment is particularly noteworthy. The reviews highlight the fact that the classes are "friendly and fun but well structured," ensuring that students are challenged without feeling overwhelmed. The owner’s hands-on involvement and dedication to her students' well-being mean that any issues, if they arise, are handled with care and fairness. This level of personal accountability is a huge asset and something that a larger, more commercial studio might not be able to offer. For families looking for a place where their children will be seen and valued as individuals, Alicia's School of Dance provides that personalized touch. The annual recitals are a special highlight, allowing students to showcase their progress and experience the excitement of a live performance in front of friends and family. This tangible progress is a great motivator for students and a source of pride for parents.

What is worth choosing
Choosing a dance studio is a personal decision, and Alicia's School of Dance offers a compelling set of reasons that make it an excellent choice for New Hampshire residents. The primary reason is the studio's unwavering focus on creating a loving and encouraging environment. As one parent enthusiastically stated, Alicia helps her students "do and be their best" and gives them "confidence in their skills." This emphasis on personal growth and self-esteem is just as important as the dance technique itself. The studio’s smaller size is a significant advantage, as it fosters a tight-knit community where instructors know each student by name and can provide truly personalized guidance. This is the kind of place where lifelong friendships are made, and students feel a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the dance floor.
The studio's commitment to accessibility, with its wheelchair-friendly facilities, shows a genuine desire to be a resource for the entire community. It demonstrates an inclusive mindset that is both professional and caring. Furthermore, the range of classes, from foundational ballet and jazz to more specialized adult and fitness-oriented programs, means there is something for everyone. Whether you have a toddler taking their first steps, a teen with aspirations for a competition team, or an adult looking for a fun new hobby, Alicia's School of Dance has a program to fit your needs. The owner’s dedication to both the art of dance and the well-being of her students and community is the defining characteristic that makes this studio a standout. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My daughters have been dancing at Alicia’s for over five years. We love this small and fun studio for many reasons, but the main one is: Alicia teaches her students to LOVE dance. All three of my daughters have very diverse abilities, and Alicia helps each of them to do and be their best, and gives them confidence in their skills. Alicia makes dancing an awesome and surprisingly reasonable activity for all of her students. We highly recommend her!
July 19 · Melanie WaldvogelAs I sit here reading Tracey Landon’s review I tend to question the review for a magnitude of reasons. I have been a member of this since the opening day I have seen a lot of changes from outgrowing the first studio to the current new studio the dance school is located. The studio itself has well over 100 students not 50ish and the classes are all filled to max size. 50+ parents and students move through the doors on Tuesdays alone I know I’m stuck at the facility most of the night...I’ve watched hundreds of students walk in the doors and move throughout the studio. I have two daughter who currently dance with the studio and have grown from having two left feet to winning numerous performance awards ranging from high golds to platinum along with winning complete competitions. These girls have been with Alicia’s from it’s start along with many other students and parents who attend this facility, the owner is highly involved in the local community and public and always giving back to the girls and boys at the facility. The class structure as referred to in the previous review does not coincide with the review based on the classes. You would not be at the studio 4 nights in a row for classes based on her class structure that’s been the same since I first started at the original studio. My oldest daughter who is numerous classes and the competition team she is there MAX 3 nights depending on classes and times maybe an extra night if cancelled due to weather. The competitive dance team at this facility is an invite only as in you are held to a higher standard then every other performer at the location. The classes are friendly and fun but well structured along with a great learning environment. I can assure you if a student was being treated unfairly and it was brought to the facilities owner it would be handled accordingly and not allowed to continue, it would also be address with the student’s parents of parties involved.I would encourage that you try this studio for yourself and not let someone who I personally don’t recall ever seeing at the studio impair your judgement. They hold 2 recitals throughout the year so you can see your little ones progress, the prices are fair and size of studio is accommodating. The owner has recently renovated the waiting area to make it more comfortable and she has plans on updating both dance studios as well. IF your looking for more accurate reviews check out the Facebook page and you will see numerous reviews as well.
