★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Mrs. Janet welcomed me to teach at her studio the day I called and it was a blessing. I hadn't taught in person classes in over 3 years and she allowed me to jump right in and teach and I enjoyed every student and parent I got to meet. After a year, I decided to step away as I am growing my family and extremely sick during my first trimester - which is so unfortunate because it was prep time for spring recital, and my health really prevented me from serving the students as I'd done before. I am grateful for their understanding. ❤️After talking with parents, being a dance teacher in 2023 and new dance Mom, if you're in search for a studio, in 2023, I encourage you to check reviews because people share their true versions of the studios, consider the reviews because most of time the person's version is worth thinking about, visit the studio because google pics are not always up to date, ask for a tour because you deserve to see all that your child has access to, ask to meet all teachers because you may end up putting your child in a another class or more classes simply based on the teacher's vibe - or not, talk to the parents in the lobby because they will tell you if they/their child is happy/unhappy about their experience, inquire if the studio is "light" (fun, not too serious, aiming to share dance moves and keep shows rolling) or "intentional" (aiming to encourage growth in vocab, corrections, ability and guiding dancers in building a relationship with their dancing) because the goal for your dancer is important and you should be where ever they are offered classes to support the goal and lastly ask 1 million other questions because dance is an investment from you and the studio to your child. From that you'll gather the personality of the studio, as it is always set by the owner, and you'll have a decent idea about whether you'd like to move forward with the business or not.As for the other reviews, my daughter did ballet and acro and after being encouraged by parents in the lobby to observe classes, I watched every ballet class she was in and my Husband and son filled in to observe every acro class while I was teaching. Now, it was only because I was a teacher that I was able to sit IN class, so if that's important to you, you'll have to express that to Mrs. Janet and maybe she'll work something out if possible.I owe the parents for their honesty and gentleness during my hard and unexpected time. They were lovely. I appreciate the students for being so sweet and enjoying dance with me. I thank Mrs. Janet for giving my daughter her first studio dance experience. She really enjoyed herself. My prayer is that the students will continue to grow and take all that they gather with them when they dance beyond.I hope my review helps! Thank you, Applause Dance! It was a sweet year. Best of luck to you as you grow forward!
June 05 · Brittney S HeardMrs. Janet is patient and kind, always there and available for the kids. My daughter loves this place. Spends a lot of time there. Between Camps and dance class!
June 24 · Kim StarcevichIf you have kids younger that 5 years old, I would suggest you demand a camera to be installed. It's not right to have these kids in a room with door shut. Yes the price is reasonable, my daughter loves ballet, she does so well with her online class however when she's in their class she's not able to perform. One day my daughter screamed for me and started crying 😢 it was that dayI don't need no backlash, just a heads up these kids deserve better especially in their younger stage.
October 31 · AMME ImageryMs. Janet Is very Rude And Yells At The Kids To “GET OFF THE MAT” During A Performance In Front of A lot Of Parents She Degrades Kids That Wanna quit To Make Them Stay. If Your Child Has Box Braids Or Any type of Braids Your Forced to Take the braids out For The preformance or else your child cannot preform she doesn’t let anyone no about the Recital dates until a week before the recital and expects these CHILDREN To Have Multiple dances memorized within a week and leaves these kids stressed out she’s very demanding to this kids and is straight up disrespectful this place needs cameras cause the stuff she does is borderline Emotional abuse to these children 10/10 do not recommend
