first dancewedding
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We truly had a wonderful time taking first dance lessons for our wedding. We looked forward to our weekly sessions. Chuck and Carole are so wonderful and patient for those of us who don't have any rhythm. Our first dance was truly amazing and we look forward to taking classes this winter just for fun.
June 30 · Jessica SchermerMy wife and I have been having dance lessons (swing and waltz) for the past few months, both Chuck and Carol are excellent teachers and ensure a fun time is always had; even when I’m struggling with new steps. Highly recommend whether you’re just wanting to learn you ‘first dance’ for your wedding or to do a new fun hobby with your partner. 5 stars all the way
June 05 · Our Maine CabinWe signed up for a four-week session of first dance lessons under the impression that we would learn our entire dance in those four weeks. For the first two weeks, we were taught new steps at a very slow rate but Chuck kept saying that it’s fine, since we have plenty of time until our wedding (9 weeks from the time we started). When we asked, he clarified that yes, he did intend for us to keep attending lessons right up until our wedding. Okay, not what we’d planned on but that’s fine.We finally began our choreography on week three and expanded on it in week four. At the end of our week four lesson, we told Chuck that we’d be out of town the following week but would be there the week after. We live an hour and a half away, but our first dance is important to us and this was the closest place we could find to take lessons. I showed up tonight, only to be told that they thought we weren’t coming anymore because we weren’t there last week. I said that I’d told Chuck we would be out of town that week, to which he replied that he had no recollection of that. They then told me that they decided to cancel the class because they only had one other couple sign up, as everyone else was already married. We received no communication about the class being canceled ahead of time, so not only did we completely waste an evening driving there and back, but now we’re left with an incomplete dance, along with wasted time and money.Extremely unprofessional. A little communication would have gone a long way.Save yourself the headache and just learn how to dance from YouTube.
October 19 · Be CoolChuck and Carole are patient, funny, and easy going. They go out of their way to make their classes as much fun as possible and they succeed. Our goal in taking their classes is to have fun in class and to learn enough to not feel like total idiots when we go out dancing. We are accomplishing both goals, but will likely continue taking classes as long as they are willing to continue teaching us. We find that the more we learn, the more fun we have. One of the best aspects of these classes is that we are allowed to dance with our own partners. My husband and I just wanted to be able to dance reasonably well with each other, not to dance with dozens of other students or to dance competitively. The way the classes are structured, we get the equivalent of private lessons, with each couple progressing at its own speed. Despite the fact that we get so much individual attention, the cost is amazingly reasonable. We have made friends in the class, and find that everybody seems to have the same reaction. Try them out, and enjoy!
January 04 · Hunt GressittA great place to learn ballroom dance! My husband and I have been taking lessons for just over a year now and love it. It's great exercise that we can both do together, and the instructors are very patient with my two left feet. I highly recommend this studio to anyone that wants to learn to dance!
