What is worth choosing
For dancers in Boston and beyond, Boston Dance Studios presents a compelling choice for several reasons, despite the occasional negative review about front desk service. The single most important factor that makes this studio stand out is the unparalleled quality of its instruction. As one customer passionately states, "You WILL NOT find as many professional instructors at any other studio around." This is a bold claim that is backed by the real-world experience of the faculty, many of whom have danced for NBA teams, in music videos, and at worldwide performances. This level of professional background means that students are not just learning steps; they are receiving industry-level training that is both rigorous and relevant. This is a crucial distinction for anyone serious about dance, whether for a career or for personal development. The expertise of the teachers ensures that every class, from beginner to advanced, is an opportunity for significant growth and a chance to learn directly from those who have succeeded at the highest levels of the dance world.
Another major reason to choose BDS is the sheer variety and specialization of its offerings. The studio's schedule includes a wide range of styles, from Hip Hop and Jazz to highly specific classes like Heels and NBA Prostyle. This diversity allows dancers to explore different genres and to find a class that perfectly matches their interests and goals. The availability of dance education, training workshops, and even a nutrition program shows a holistic approach to dance that is rare to find. The studio's ability to host guest instructors from around the world provides an additional layer of value, giving students access to different perspectives and techniques. This commitment to a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum ensures that there is always something new to learn and that dancers can continue to challenge themselves and expand their skills.
Finally, the studio offers valuable services like private training and studio rentals, which make it a hub for the wider Boston dance community. For choreographers, production teams, and individual dancers who need a space to create and rehearse, the studio's rental service is a major asset. This reinforces BDS's role as a cornerstone of the local dance scene, supporting not just students but professionals as well. While some may have had a negative initial experience, the overwhelming consensus from those who are part of the community points to a wonderful studio with an incredible staff and faculty. The opportunity to train with some of the best dancers in the industry, combined with a diverse class schedule and a supportive environment, makes Boston Dance Studios a destination worth choosing for any dancer in Massachusetts.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First time going there, the person at the front desk was so rude. I didn’t get a confirmation email for the class and I didn’t know my vagara login, she made a big deal about it and said it was going to take 5-10 mins for her to look up my name and check me in, it ended up being barely 2 minutes. I think she just didn’t want to check me in.The hip hop beginner class was filled, people were bumping into each other. idk how there was still 18 slots open for the class when I signed up that same day of the class.Overall terrible experience and I really wanted to like this place.
June 02 · MaggieBDS is a wonderful studio! There is a huge variety of classes from heels to hip hop, contemporary, dance hall, NBA pro style, and jazz! There are also lots of opportunities to train with guest instructors from all over the world. The staff are SO amazing. These are formally and professionally trained dancers who have studied dance and danced for pop stars, NBA teams, in movies, in music videos, and at worldwide performances like Coachella and the superbowl! You WILL NOT find as many professional instructors at any other studio around!!!!
April 30 · Jessica DellAquilaI really like going here. Jeryl's class on Friday nights is a great way to end the week. Excellent location for anybody who can commute to North Station, and class prices are very reasonable.
May 24 · Moredread25I am so happy boston dancers like myself now has a home studio to practice at. Pandemic has hit a lot of studios hard and I am so glad that Boston Dance Studios was able to open up this year! 🙏🏻 they work hard to bring in the best dance training as well as invite out of state teachers to come teach! I went to Axel’s hip hop class, which was a blast and high heels classes from Dan Lai and Sabina that came from NYC! If you are looking to train in hip hop, contemporary, high heels, dancehall - BDS has it all.Thank you for all the work you do and wish you a best of luck.
