Booked a pro party for an early birthday celebration amid Mother’s Day! Ashley or Ashlee (didn’t catch the spelling) was THEEEE BESTTTTTT instructor ever!!!! She made us all feel comfortable and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest! Especially for a mid size woman like me! The owner Nia was there and greeted our party and she was so personable and gave me the biggest birthday hug ever!! 1000000/10 every single lady with me enjoyed it! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Valuable classes. BUT they have A VERY strict membership program and for me it feels very money grubbing. After you are done with beginner infusion you can only sign up for 6month increment memberships that are non refundable (810$).They make it very clear that they will not refund you a class even in instances that are outside of your control like weather issues causing THEM to close.My advice is to not sign up in winter. If you are someone that can pretty much make it to every class for 6 months and you have a flexible schedule that allows you to take reschds if they change a class then it’ll be worth it in the long runIf you cancel a class ahead of time they only allow you to use the “credit” within that same month when you are in membership.Thoughts on beginner infusion: I didn’t love not having my own pole during class because you don’t get much time in a full class on the pole itself. It’s about 2 or 3 ppl per pole you are always sharing. However, I did like the empowering messages from Nia in the class and I did like the exercises both on and off pole as well as the moves she taught us were great. Instructor Nia was very knowledgeable on pole dancing and gave great instruction. Also made everyone feel welcome no matter size or age imo. Very good classes for beginners in that way because she teaches techniques and shows us everything more than once so you can understand things.Overall 3 out of 5 for the strict membership/money programs

I booked the Pro Party to celebrate my birthday this past weekend and Kerwin was the BEST host. Her energy is everything!!! I had no idea what to expect going into this class, but the two ladies leading definitely made it so easy for us to get out of our comfort zone.

I personally believe, as a former member, that the environment cultivated here is for TERFs who only believe in female liberation if it checks all their own rules. The owner talks a bit too much about the "unique powers that Women have" and "the importance of exclusivity for Women's spaces" for my taste.Very weird experience. I joined in March and had a great experience for a while. The instructors, the other members... all seem very nice and cool and fun. I really enjoyed the environment & the people I met here.Despite claiming to be a queer positive space, the owner always exclusively talks about Women. Always the capital W. When I went to a social event, the topics included the biological differences between men and women's brains, and the "natural gifts only Women have". How as a Woman, I needed specific Woman figures in my life. But here's the thing: I don't identify as a Woman, and I don't hide that. And despite claiming to be about fighting the roles and expectations thrust upon you, I continually felt that "being a Woman" was thrust upon me, because I present feminine.Recently an IG post said "Inclusivity and community can be a form of misogyny". The comments were full of people saying that intersectional feminism was misogyny, to which the owner said she wanted to hear more/that she'd dm them. Same day, she posted a story vaguely claiming that all these Women msg her saying "I agree with you but I could never say that" to which she said something about how she is their voice, and weirdly feeling the need to call out how she "Knows All Y'all's secrets". And that "you all agree with each other so much more than you know, but I won't make you say anything because society expects you not to go against the grain". I was curious what all this could possibly mean when the audience is already supposed to be a bunch of sex-positive, feminist, queer folks so I specifically called out trans inclusivity in the comments. No response. My friend came in to express the concern more plainly. Because she said she was "interested in becoming a member" she got a vague response that did not deny any claims. So I pushed harder in a reply where i stated feeling excluded and ignored. Minutes later, the post was deleted.Despite claiming to be sex-worker positive, that is never highlighted in their media. Their media is sanitized, polished, vague, and posh. And the lip service they pay to "exclusivity" goes straight out the window for people who want to book parties there.They talk a lot about not catering to men, even going as far as to turn their nose up at people who shave. Meanwhile, the owner uses this demure fake eyelashes filter and soft lighting on all her stories.I canceled my membership, and since I was forced to provide a reason, I stated my concerns there. Including that I was ignored as a current member over someone whose money they didn't already have, and that I felt concerned that they were trans-exclusive. I got a refund and no response.The owner herself talks as much about how smart/brave/strong she is and how much power/knowledge she has as anything she claims her studio is about. It just rubs me the wrong way, particularly knowing her fundamentalist southern Christian roots, and all the control those communities exert. It just feels like a different flavor of that.There was this weird period where she was hyping up this big announcement where every day she posted the same three professional self-portraits next to things people said to her that were negative "because I'm so smart/strong/outspoken/etc". she expected everyone to be there, a weekday during my lunch break. 18 minutes were devoted to more gassing herself up before saying she's opening a second location. and then 20 more minutes of that.Despite what she claims is a 1000 person wait-list, I was allowed in one week after inquiring. Maybe I was just lucky.Ultimately I just feel lied to. It feels like marketing. It feels like misogyny by different rules. Fit the box, or you are doing feminism the wrong way, and you don't belong here.
