The key features and highlights of Cohesive Movement Center are centered on its unique class offerings and its dedication to fostering an inclusive community. The studio’s identification as an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space is a significant highlight, creating a welcoming and affirming environment for all. The presence of gender-neutral toilets further supports this commitment to inclusivity. The reviews for the studio are mixed, with some highlighting positive experiences and others expressing serious concerns. A customer's glowing review of an aerial hoop class with instructors Jill and Rosie praised their fantastic teaching style, focus on safety, and the fun environment, noting they felt "very comfortable doing advanced moves including a small drop." This positive feedback points to the potential for a great experience with skilled and safety-conscious instructors. However, another lengthy review raises serious issues, including allegations of poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and safety concerns with equipment, specifically "wobbly" poles with loose bolts. This review also points to a perceived lack of professionalism and an unwelcoming atmosphere, suggesting a lack of consistency in the quality of experience. The studio's commitment to community and its specialized aerial offerings, such as Aerial Hoop and Aerial Yoga, are certainly highlights, but prospective members should be aware of the varied experiences reported by past clients.

For those who have a positive experience, the studio is a fantastic place to learn aerial arts and dance in a fun, engaging, and unique way. The studio's focus on inclusivity, with an LGBTQ+ friendly environment, makes it a safe space for many people to explore movement. The specialized classes like Aerial Hoop and Aerial Yoga are a refreshing alternative to a traditional gym and offer a great way to build strength and flexibility. However, it is essential to be aware of the serious safety and management concerns detailed in a negative review. The allegations of poorly installed equipment and a lack of support for serious athletes are significant issues that prospective students should investigate. The contrast between the reviews suggests that the experience can vary greatly, and it might be beneficial for new students to try a single drop-in class or a short-term trial before committing to a long-term membership. Ultimately, Cohesive Movement Center offers a niche and specialized fitness experience that, for some, is a perfect fit, while for others, the reported issues with management and safety may be a reason to look elsewhere. The decision to join should be based on a thorough personal assessment and a full understanding of the potential risks and benefits.

Cohesive Movement Center Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wish I could give no stars. I signed up at Cohesive Movement Center to train for competitions, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. After paying over $300 in fees, several of the amenities that were promised, such as included water and nutrition support, were quietly taken away. Once payment was made, the level of care and communication noticeably dropped.Despite having over 5 years of experience in aerial arts, I was told I wasn’t “good enough” to use certain equipment, so they quietly took it away from me all while keeping my payments the same. Meanwhile, the instructors frequently talked up their qualifications, but after taking multiple classes, it was clear their skill level wasn’t any higher than mine, if not below. To make matters worse, I overheard the owners speaking negatively about other local studios. It came off as unprofessional and insecure, especially considering the environment they were providing. There were serious safety issues too, some poles were installed poorly, with bolts coming loose and visibly wobbly. I attached photos for reference. I also wasn’t allowed to adjust the temperature during training, which made the space uncomfortable and not conducive to focused practice.I would not recommend this facility. It’s poorly managed, doesn’t deliver on its promises, and creates an unwelcoming and unsafe atmosphere for anyone serious about their training.I have attached photos of the unsafe pole conditions and cannot say enough how much I regret giving them my money and believing their empty promises. I cannot stress how belittled they made me feel for addressing concerns.
July 08 · Pole LoverI had a wonderful aerial hoop class with Jill and Rosie. They are fantastic instructors and really focused on safety. It was so much fun! The rigging was very safe,I felt very comfortable doing advanced moves including a small drop. Overall awesome studio cannot wait for more classes!!
July 18 · Marce bCMC is truly amazing when it comes to rehab services. From the moment I walked in, I felt supported, seen, and genuinely cared for. The team takes a holistic and personalized approach to recovery - whether you are healing from injury, surgery, or simply trying to reconnect with your body, they meet you where you are and help you to rebuild your strength and confidence.Their knowledge, combined with a warm and welcoming environment, makes CMC stand out. I am incredibly grateful for the progress I have made here. It’s the best I have felt in years. If you are looking for a space that blends movement, rehab and strength, this is definitely it!
July 12 · AlexanderI found this new studio and I just love it! I am taking the flow class and it is perfect for me. They are very attentive to my “lack of experience” with exercise in general, and go at a pace that is comfortable, but I also feel accomplished at the same time and I love that.
July 12 · Janice RidenourThis studio and coaches are amazing. Whether you are a beginner or years of experience they are great at getting everyone moving. They are here to empower all women of any age or size.
