What is worth choosing
For expectant parents in the St. Louis area, choosing a childbirth preparation method can be a daunting task. Dancing For Birth stands out as a highly valuable option for several compelling reasons. The most significant is its unique and effective fusion of movement and education. The physical benefits of the dance-based exercise are undeniable—helping to improve strength, flexibility, and a woman's connection to her body. However, the true value lies in how this movement is directly linked to the birthing process. Participants learn to use their bodies instinctively, helping to guide their baby into the optimal position and cope with labor sensations in a way that feels natural and empowering.
The program's dual focus on physical and mental support is also a major draw. The classes are not just about the body; they are about building a healthy mindset and a strong support network. As noted in customer reviews, the classes are a place to "dance, laugh, sometimes cry, but always leave feeling better." This emotional and social component is just as important as the physical benefits, as it provides a community of shared experience that is often crucial for new and expectant parents. The instructors, like Krista, are praised for being incredibly knowledgeable and understanding, serving as both educators and mentors.
Furthermore, the accessibility and inclusivity of Dancing For Birth make it a model for modern wellness centers. Its commitment to being wheelchair-accessible and a transgender safe space ensures that its valuable services are available to a diverse range of people. This forward-thinking approach creates a welcoming environment that is essential for such a vulnerable and transformative period of life. The flexibility of online classes also means that individuals can participate even if they are unable to attend in person. Ultimately, Dancing For Birth provides a holistic, empowering, and deeply supportive experience that prepares parents not just for birth, but for the beautiful and challenging journey of motherhood itself.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ive been attending classes since I was early first trimester and I'm almost at 40 weeks now. I thoroughly look forward to weekly classes and always come home with new knowledge to share to my husband. We attended a partners class that he still talks about to this day. We truly love our instructor Krista. She is incredibly knowledgeable and understanding. We dance, laugh, sometimes cry, but always leave feeling better than I did when I walked in.
January 07 · Natashya GrahamDancing for Birth is the all in one birthing class many mamas should join! It’s educational, mentally supportive, and physically beneficial for those expecting. I learned all about the beat ways to naturally aid my baby down through the birth canal using belly dancing and other natural poses as well. With each class my instructor was able to get me into a healthy mindset to prepare for natural birth and to welcome motherhood as well. I am towards the end of my third trimester currently and feel more ready than I did for an unmedicated natural childbirth experience!
December 01 · Teresa RojasYou definitely need to go. You meet other mommies who are pregnant at the same time. I looked forward to it. You learned more than just dancing. You learned how it helped with the birth. Even though I was awarded a bouncy ball after the fourth class, I bought one on my own after the first class.
September 10 · Veronica JenkinsDancing For Birth is inspiring! As a doula, it's so wonderful to have a class focused on natural birth that takes the fear and unknown out of the process. You get to come together with other women and connect in a safe place to talk about fears and reservations about birth, ask questions about birth and children and make friends for life! Thank you, Stephanie!
