★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My daughter has been at this studio for 7 years and is starting her 8th year. In my experience, it is one of the best technical studios around. My daughter is learning a lot from her teachers and not just dance. She is learning confidence and respect. She is learning how to overcome obstacles and focus. My daughter has made a lot of friends who also love being on stage. This is a very positive studio. In fact, this year the theme around the studio is “What inspires you?” There’s no other studio like it.
September 10 · Elizabeth WilliamsI’m going to be honest. I had no idea what I was getting into. I danced here when it was Jeanette Pop & I loved it. Years later my daughter begins dance, we are 10 years in & let me tell you why she’s excited to go there 6 days a week. DDC offers a loving dance family of supportive teachers & staff. They provide not only a wonderful technical education but life lessons. It provides a safe place to explore creativity & build relationships. Both of us look forward to going to DDC daily & becoming a part of their legacy while trying to uphold the legacy that former Director, Audra, created. All you want for your child is for them to enjoy their activity & to grow in it. But when you see so much more come from it, you know you have found something special. DDC is truly a special place. I would recommend DDC over & over again.
September 10 · Shannon O’LoughlinWhen Audra owned DDC I would've 100% recommended this studio but now I wouldn't. Attendance and dress code weren't enforced anymore last year, and not surprisingly there seemed to be an influx of injuries. Classes sometimes began up to fifteen minutes late. Several teachers (good teachers, might I add) will not be returning this year. There's more I could say, but bottom line 0/10 would not recommend. Gary Geis, South Dayton or Dayton Ballet may be good places to look if you're searching for a quality dance school.
September 07 · A.The technique taught at this school is phenomenal. My child is in tap and the care that goes into teaching the technical aspect of dancing is admirable. I’ve seen performances of the ballet, tap, jazz, and modern/contemporary styles and the instruction the dancers have received is top notch. I am thoroughly impressed with this dance school and will continue to send my child here. Also, my child is a boy and as of the time of the post I believe they have 7-10 boys enrolled, which is great. The children and adult dancers seem to enjoy themselves and as a parent and former dancer, I highly recommend DDC.
June 13 · Robyn JohnsonMy kid's enjoy going and the staff and instructors work well with them 👏🏾 👍🏾 👌🏾!
