Dayton Vintage Dance Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love Dayton Vintage Dance. It has been a small group since I started this past February, but the people are intelligent, interesting and creative. They have a wide range of dance interests and are very welcoming. We rotate partners all night long, so anyone can come, even if they do not bring a dance partner. Beginners are always welcome and encouraged, though they should keep in mind that our teachers are volunteers. We do the best we can. Just keep coming back! Anyone who is persistent can get the hang of it. Our class changes the dance style every month, so if one doesn’t fit you, perhaps the next one will. Class is followed by an hour of social dance, mixed styles, including partner dancing, lines, and folk circle dancing. Everyone is included. Also our DJ’s take requests.More experienced dancers may find a “home” here, very quickly. Friday nights are sometimes full for people, with other activities, but for those other Friday nights, when there is nothing scheduled, it is wonderful to know that this group is always there. I hate to miss it.Only $5.00.
July 05 · Christine OstlundThe folks at DVD are the most welcoming, encouraging (and experienced!) dancers you will find, and the two hours (class + social dance hour) cost less than a cocktail at a bar. The range of dances in their repertoire is huge, so you're sure to find something you love. The organization is a nonprofit, not a business, so they are dancing and teaching solely because they love to dance.
