From the first steps of a preschooler to the advanced choreography of a seasoned competitor, DKDS provides a comprehensive dance education that extends far beyond the studio floor, instilling life lessons that resonate for years to come.
What truly sets DKDS apart is its deeply ingrained philosophy, as highlighted by a long-time parent: the focus is on the "personal growth and development of each student." While winning is certainly an achievement—and DKDS students do win quite often—the studio’s primary goal is to foster personal excellence. This approach helps students develop a strong work ethic, build self-confidence without arrogance, and learn to support their peers. The studio environment is described by a parent as a place where "the dance students become a family." Here, they learn invaluable lessons in teamwork, how to handle both success and defeat gracefully, and the importance of perseverance. These are not just dance skills; they are life skills that prepare students for the world beyond the stage, making DKDS a trusted partner in a child's overall development.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Diane Kelley and the DKDS staff focus on the personal growth and development of each student. They stress that winning is nice (and they do win quite often) but achieving personal growth and excellence is first and foremost. The dance students become a family. They learn teamwork, confidence (not arrogance), how to support others, how to strive for their personal best, how to work hard, how to show up even when it's hard, how to receive professional criticism, how to win the right way, and even how to lose the right way. The list goes on. We've been at DKDS for more than 10 years. The growth of our daughter on that stage, and as a person, is wonderful to watch. As parents, we're quite proud of her. Not because she's perfect but because she works hard and she's a good kid. She's around other good kids. We see the same in all of her team. These are skills they're going to take with them through life. This studio has been excelling for decades. There's a reason for that, and as parents, we trust the process.
August 19 · Susan MooreDiane Kelley dance studio stands out as an exceptional institution for dancers of all levels, offering a nurturing yet disciplined environment that truly cultivates technical skill, artistic expression, and personal growth. Having observed the progress of my own daughter, the past 11 years and spoken with several parents, it is clear that Diane Kelley is deeply committed to the long-term development of its dancers, both as artists and as individuals.
July 06 · Sam FanFanNo I did not solicit, no I did not grovel to her. The check came in 2 weeks later. She did something to everyone who she found out auditioned at another studio. Yes I walked out of her meeting with the parents. Yes I did write her an email in the beginning of the year about my concerns.
July 21 · Kimberly MaschiMy girls LOVE their dance school. Diane Kelley Dance Studio offers something for every dancer! My youngest enjoys "princess dance camp" in the summer and a fun and energizing weekly dance class with Miss Annmarie - who is AMAZING!!!! She is wonderful with little dancers and makes sure they are having a blast at the same time they are learning important skills. My oldest started out in recreation classes and became part of the competition dance team last year. She had a wonderful experience and grew so much in her skill level and maturity as a dancer. We can't say enough great things about DKDS!
August 11 · Jennifer DolatGreat dance studio for beginners and more advance. Lots of options at affordable prices. My daughter loves her teachers (which are usually the older class dancers). Diane is also amazing and a great teacher.
