January 05 · Elizabeth LouresMy daughter wanted to learn more about her Puerto Rican roots and what better way than to have her join Bomba classes? I was so impressed by the first class that I decided to sign up for percussion and we made it a mother-daughter thing. We loved it so much that we participated in summer classes in Puerto Rico and are now in our second semester in Orlando. The staff at Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda are amazing. All are welcoming and incredibly knowledgable in history and culture. I’m so grateful to be part of this organization and highly recommend the school to anyone despite age, background, or nationality.

You will learn both the technical and historical side of Bomba music. Joshua, their main percussionist, is an incredible teacher (check out his youtube!)
