Festival School of Ballet offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to different age groups and skill levels, all centered around the art of classical ballet. Their curriculum is carefully designed to provide a solid foundation in ballet technique while also fostering artistic expression. For younger students, the children's ballet classes introduce the fundamentals in a fun and engaging way, sparking a lifelong love for dance. As students progress, they can move into more rigorous classical ballet training, preparing them for more advanced levels. The studio also offers pointe classes, a significant milestone for dedicated ballet students that requires strength and precision. However, ballet is not just for the young; the school's commitment to inclusivity is highlighted by its robust adult classes. These classes are designed for individuals of all levels, from those with no prior experience to former dancers looking to get back into shape. As one reviewer noted, "I've gone to Festival School of Ballet for many years as an adult. It's a very supportive environment to stay in shape, socialize, and have a truly fun time dancing." This sentiment perfectly captures the spirit of the adult program. In addition to regular classes, the school also offers ballet workouts, which are an excellent way to build strength and flexibility. The school's focus on dance productions is another notable service. Rather than a high-stress, expensive recital, the school produces an in-studio performance that is optional, with minimal rehearsals and no additional fees, as stated on their website. This approach allows students to experience the joy of performance without the pressure, and as a reviewer mentioned, it makes for a much-loved production for families: "The recital was one big production for one hour including all students, rather than individual class performances for 3 hours, which we really loved." This focus on a positive, low-stress performance experience is a key differentiator. From basic ballet to advanced training, the school's services are designed to meet students wherever they are in their dance journey and help them achieve their goals in a nurturing and professional manner. Festival School Of Ballet Reviews
I've gone to Festival School of Ballet for many years as an adult. It's a very supportive environment to stay in shape, socialize, and have a truly fun time dancing. Clare is a fabulous teacher and is very knowledgeable and encouraging. Highly recommended for all ages and levels!
June 15 · Madeline OlsonWe had a wonderful experience! My 6 year old took ballet in a mixed age class for beginners. She loved it, had fun, and learned. The price is reasonable, it is a great place to bring multiple kids. The recital was one big production for one hour including all students, rather than individual class performances for 3 hours, which we really loved. Great communication with Ms. Clare as well. Highly recommend!
June 23 · Renee GobleBest adult ballet class in the WNY area! This is an excellent place to learn, grow, and have fun with dance. Clare is an incredible teacher. She is knowledgeable about not only dance, but theatre, opera, music, anatomy, and kinesiology. Each student receives individually tailored encouragement and coaching to ensure progress toward their goals. Clare goes out of her way to make every student feel comfortable and welcome in class. Classes are traditionally structured, but fun and updated with expertly chosen music and methods.Personally, I love that I can take multiple adult ballet classes per week and not be roped into an expensive and time consuming recital at the end of the year. Participation in semi-annual performances are voluntary, low-pressure, and fun while remaining structured and entertaining. I've been a student for many years, and I hope to continue for many more.
September 21 · Kyla J. SmithAs an adult looking for a beginners class, I was so very lucky to find Festival School of Ballet! A great mixture of dancers, of all experience levels and ages, in a wonderful class atmosphere that encourages any dancer. Truly a wonderful ballet school!
