★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My daughter does the summer intensive with Joffrey South for Jazz and Contemporary and every summer I see her grow and shine. Her skills are pushed and her confidence grows and I see her bring that back to our home studio. The staff are amazing, the instructors are the best and the support staff are super communicative and friendly. It has always been such an amazing and welcoming environment for her to increase her skills and training and follow her dream.
July 18 · Jaime Crossan-DeBresMy daughter participated in Joffrey Musical theater summer intensive and she had the best time ever. She loved every moment, she enjoyed every class and the instructors were so amazing. It was a great experience for her, she made new friends and had an opportunity to learn from the other talented students as well.
July 20 · erika paulinoMy daughter attended the Joffrey Musical Theater Intensive this summer. We can't speak highly enough about the experience. So much information was provided ahead of time that I felt comfortable making our way to NYC, commuting to LIC every day & leaving her in their care. She loved the teachers, especially vocal coach Michele McConnell & learning choreography from Antwaun Holley who shared a hometown connection. Matthew & Maximilien ran this program flawlessly & made time to interact with parents after the showcase performance. We are looking forward to many more summers in NYC!
July 29 · Christi UrbanekAttending the Joffrey Akron Summer Intensive was an unforgettable and enriching experience. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this program was designed to push dancers toward excellence while nurturing their individuality and artistic voice. The faculty was outstanding with a wide variety of experience who brought both technical precision and creative energy to every class. They challenged us with a rigorous schedule, but also made time for personal corrections and support. Whether it was ballet, contemporary, pointe, jazz or modern, each class was thoughtfully structured and taught with a high level of expertise.
August 09 · Amelia BachmanMy daughter Alexa, age 11, has been training in tap for several years and has performed tap solos for the past three. Attending the Joffrey Ballet School’s NYC Tap Intensive was an absolute highlight of her dance journey so far.She came home every day inspired and excited about what she had learned. The combinations were both challenging and incredibly creative—exactly the kind of material that pushes young dancers to grow while keeping them fully engaged. The focus on musicality and improvisation was second to none. Alexa especially loved being encouraged to find her own voice within the rhythm, and it was clear the faculty genuinely cared about nurturing individual expression. What really set this intensive apart was its commitment to preserving the roots of tap. Alexa learned so much about traditional tap repertoire and history, and it was woven into the experience in a way that was fun, respectful, and deeply enriching. She left the program not just a stronger tapper, but with a greater appreciation for the art form and its legacy. We are so grateful for this program and hope to return next year for tap or perhaps another style!
