★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My daughter just completed her second year of dance at Kats and will be beginning her third in the Fall. Everyone there is kind, welcoming, and inclusive. My daughter loves her teachers and going to the studio for dance every week. The environment at Kats fosters a love and enjoyment for dance without the need for comparison and competition. Everyone is supportive and encouraging no matter the ability level and it’s the exact environment I want my daughter to learn in. I highly recommend Kats!
August 20 · Talia ValerioThis dance studio has one of the most positive and engaging environments I’ve ever had the pleasure being in! They truly care so much not only about their students but their staff as well. You can see it on display in the waiting room all the time! I could list endless good things about Kats Dance Centre!!
August 25 · Isabelle HoplinI danced here for a few years. August 2025 the studio emailed me directly asking for my thoughts/opinions, which I was hesitant to reply to, but ultimately decided to reply honestly. The owner's response essentially told me to kick rocks and find another studio. I am so glad I took the time out of my day to earnestly reply to your email. I am including screenshots and will include an **abridged** version of my email critique here. The floors are unsafe. The long strips of marley flooring with the tape down the middle are trip hazards and make it difficult to dance. I think our monthly memberships should entitle us to floors that aren't taped together. I understand if the literal subfloor is uneven, however that doesn't excuse the hacked together strips of marley in every dance room. It left me with the impression that maybe there aren't enough dancers to pay for a new floor. But that doesn't seem to be the case. The floors are filthy. The condition of the floors is not something that can be changed overnight, but the cleanliness is within someone's control. We sit on the floor to stretch amongst so much dust, hair, dead bugs, etc. which could easily be swiffered. If your business relies on the condition of the floors, they should at least be swept and free of little boogers and bandaids.I paid for photos the first/only time I participated in the recital, and never received them. I asked about the missing photos and was told that I needed to call the photo studio. (Like what? I get them from Kats, not the photographer). I mentioned a few more times since, but one has helped or even offered a refund. And with regards to that recital, I paid over $200 for a costume that was cheap as hell. It looked awful on ALL OF US. The "costume" was selected without our input, with less than 2 or 3 weeks before the recital, and consisted of an ugly sweatshirt, and ripped black jeans, which fit terribly. I wouldn't have paid $20 for that outfit, let alone $200. My husband still makes fun of that costume. It's difficult to tell who works at Kats None of the staff, Kat included, greet a person when they walk in the front door. I found this off putting and still do. It's not a very reassuring atmosphere for an adult, and less so for a child. Staff members should at least wear the same shirt, or a shirt with their name, or something to indicate they are an employee. This is also a safety issue for the children in your care, since they can't visually identify who's an employee and who's notFinally, the studio has an abundance of memorabilia for the owner's deceased daughter, which is sweet. But if you're a newcomer, this is very confusing (it was for me). Who the hell is Jessie? No one seemed to want to talk about it. And it was extra confusing to hear, in the middle of the recital dress rehearsal, that the ENTIRE recital is dedicated to the owner's deceased daughter and not all of the wonderful people who worked hard to make it happen? If Jessie is such an integral part of the studio (so much so that EVERY recital is dedicated to her?) tell people about her, create a mission statement, idk SOMETHING. The studio is literally bordering on a mausoleum, and lacks any kind of focus on the dancers and people that pay. There are support groups for the devastating loss of a child, and I hope the owner considers a more appropriate form of emotional support for herself. She deserves it.She doesn't seem to actually pay anyone to work there so my fear of hurting her employees is zero. If you're an adult looking for a studio to learn to dance and get in shape, this is not the place for you.
August 20 · Summer WaltersMy 12 year old son will be going into his 5th year hip-hop and I will be completing my 1st year in adult ballet. They have been a second home and family for us and my son has gained such amazing confidence. We travel a half hour just to go there. I would have given 6 stars
June 04 · Sarah LehouxI’m an adult dancer and would give this place a million stars if I could. I see the genuine confidence and passion of dancers and teachers alike. The dedication given is unmatched to any dance studio. Extremely professional, flexible, and organized!
