The core of the Lenahan School's philosophy is rooted in sharing a love of Irish dance while building essential life skills. This approach is beautifully summarized in a glowing review from a long-time parent: "The moment I talked to Maggie I knew she would be the perfect fit. She was not at all pushy like the other places I called. It was clear that she wanted to share her love of dance and that her main goal was for my daughters to have fun, learn new skills, and try their best!!" This kind of personal and caring approach sets the school apart from its competitors, making it a safe and supportive space for young dancers to flourish. Beyond the technical training, the Lenahan School of Irish Dance provides a wealth of opportunities for its students. From regional competitions (feiseanna) and professionally run shows to public performances at parades, community events, and even weddings, dancers are given ample chances to showcase their talents and share their passion with others. These performance opportunities not only build confidence but also connect students with the broader Irish dance community both within New Jersey and across the tri-state area. The school's collaborative spirit, as highlighted by a parent's review, "Maggie works with other dance schools in New Jersey which has allowed my daughter to meet and learn from many Irish Dance friends across the state," speaks volumes about its commitment to fostering friendships and a love for the art form.

February 05 · Kristin HerzogWhen I was looking for an Irish step dancing school, I called around to a few places. The moment I talked to Maggie I knew she would be the perfect fit. She was not at all pushy like the other places I called. It was clear that she wanted to share her love of dance and that her main goal was for my daughters to have fun, learn new skills, and try their best!! All three of my girls have very different personalities and Maggie knows how to give each one the support she needs while boosting confidence. Her professionalism, kindness, and passion for what she does makes her a wonderful role model to my girls. From the moment we started 3 years ago, we were welcomed into her dance school family not only by Maggie, but by every single student and parent there. That speaks for itself. July 22 · Jesse BrewerI cannot say enough good things about Lenahan! Maggie is an amazing teacher and is so patient and kind with the kids but knows when to push just a little to get them to their potential. She is also has amazing communication with parents is always there to answer any questions or concerns. The students in the school are great too! They make everyone feel part of the big Lenahan family!!! If you're considering dance for your kids, I would suggest, 1000 times over, to pick Lenahan!
June 23 · Rebecca DiazoMy daughter has danced with Maggie for two years now. She first started Irish step dancing classes 4 years ago but didn’t feel comfortable with the first instructor and eventually ended up quitting. I convinced my daughter to give step dancing one more try and she instantly fell in love with Maggie. My little one has learned so much more than she ever did at the first school and has fallen in love with the sport. I’m so grateful that we found Lenahan School of dance and I can’t wait to see my 2 year old start lessons!
