For Ohio families, especially those in the Lima area, **Liberty Arts Magnet** stands as a unique public institution, distinguished by its dedication to an integrated arts curriculum. This is not just a standard school with an art program; it is an **Art School** and a **Child's School** where the arts—specifically art, dance, drama, and music—are woven into the fabric of all subjects. Operating as a Kindergarten through 8th-grade magnet school, Liberty Arts Magnet is committed to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development in its young students, offering a specialized educational experience not commonly found in traditional settings.

Programs at Liberty Arts Magnet are open to all students within the Lima City Schools district and generally operate on a lottery system for entry, reflecting its nature as a sought-after specialty program.
Beyond the K-8 student body, Liberty Arts Magnet extends its educational reach into the wider Lima community by offering a suite of programs focused on lifelong learning. There is also a distinct, repeated concern regarding the lack of a traditional PE/Gym class, which parents view as "Totally absurd" for children's overall health and well-being, even with the presence of dance. As a local resource, the school's integrated arts curriculum is a powerful draw, offering a learning environment unlike any other in the area. Parents interested in this magnet program are advised to visit the campus, speak directly with administration about student welfare policies and the physical education replacement programs, and observe a **Day Program** to ensure the school's current environment aligns with their family's priorities and standards. The school’s dual role in providing both K-8 education and **Adult Learning** opportunities confirms its status as an important, comprehensive educational pillar in the Lima, Ohio community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- NEVER SEND YOUR KID HERE!!! This place sucks, if I could give it 0 stars I would. They don't let you go to the bathroom, they take away your lunch, make you work at lunch, and the nurse should be fired, he doesn't even help kids who are in pain. The principal sucks too, he wouldn't even listen and doesn't even take kids being bullied seriously and he doesn't care that the teachers are being jerks. PLEASE JUST NEVER SEND YOUR KID HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO SUFFER February 25 · Yung Cyph3r
- We Love The School and the Staff. But we don't like the Fact the children don't have a PE/Gym Class! Totally absurd! Dance class is NOT even remotely the same thing or even close to it. Everyone loved GYM class and the children need it! The main purpose of health and well being within Curriculum for Excellence is to develop the knowledge and understanding, skills, capabilities and attributes necessary for mental, emotional, social and physical well being now and in the future. - Staff seems to not have control over what the teachers do and don't do. Be careful of lunch detentions, you could have a straight a student and forget an assignment and receive a detention. Also, your child could be A's and B's and not pass a test that actually tests the teachers teaching ability and be held back. If you have smart children do not send them here, they will be bored and digress. May 03 · Robert Schutt
- My son is in 3rd grade and he learned to play the Steele Drums along with a few other instruments and his teacher Mrs. Marshall worked very hard to help get him prepared for the state test. HE PASSED. Thank you Mrs.Marshall. And my other son is in 6th grade and tested gifted in creative thinking and had enrichment class to enhance that thinking. And the band really worked hard and sounded great. Choir teacher Rocks and the dance teacher is nice. Mrs. Heffner is really cares for her school, students and staff. I still think the kids need to have a physical education class. Only downfall was a lot of there work. Is done on line. May 21 · Marina Pajewski
- An absolutely perfect place to send your children, my sister loves it there it has dance, orchestra, band, choir, and art classes along with all curricular classes. March 16 · Peter Fike
