★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This post is from Randie Ratick. Madeline's is so much more than a dance center. My perspective is from someone who has been in music education for 32+ years, and currently an office employee of the studio.I witness on a daily basis an environment that is safe, welcoming and nurturing to students of all ages and abilities. Classes in a variety of genres, teams, private instruction, competitions, community participation and more are all offered. Instruction is by qualified and experienced teachers, many of whom have degrees in dance and/or education. Parental involvement is valued and always encouraged. Accountability, kindness, respect and much more are qualities that are actively integrated and intertwined into the instructional and daily operations of the dance center.Quality programs come with financial responsibilities by both those that participate and the dance center. As an office employee, I know that financial obligations, by both sides, are continuously being evaluated. Opportunities to assist in this area are available.I highly recommend Madeline's Dance Center for quality programs that embrace and celebrate dance and all of the performing arts!
August 15 · Lawrence RatickWhile there’s no denying that some kids have fun at this studio, it’s clear that the program seriously lacks professionalism and technique. As someone with experience in the dance world, I was shocked by the absence of proper training. The choreography is thrown together, and the dancers aren’t being taught the foundation they need to grow. It’s honestly embarrassing to see what’s being passed off as competitive dance. The owner has a reputation for overcharging—especially for things like AAB performance awards and competitions—yet it's clear the fees aren’t going back into the dancers or their development. It feels more like a desperate attempt to keep the place afloat financially than an investment in the kids.I also noticed something strange online: after a single honest 1-star review appeared, a flood of 5-star reviews followed just minutes later. It felt suspicious and unnatural—like someone was trying to bury the truth rather than address it.Sadly, many of the dancers here have tried to branch out to other, more reputable studios and have been turned away. Why? Because they weren’t trained properly in the first place. It’s heartbreaking to watch kids full of potential get stuck in a place that isn’t preparing them for anything beyond this bubble. To any serious dancer or parent: look elsewhere. Fun is important, but so is growth—and you won’t find either the technique or mentorship here to support that. Thanks Madeline
August 03 · Hampton PcannoMy daughter has been dancing there for two years. She is bussed from Marlboro Elementary and enjoys the after school program in addition to her dance classes. She’s made lifelong friends and truly loves the teachers, the studio, and dance.
November 27 · Meg ThompsonThe studio offers a wide variety of dance styles for students with both instructional classes and performance team practices. The instructors are very professional and really do a great job in encouraging the kids to do their very best. The staff does a good job with open communication for both individualized communications and broad communications to all parents.
November 25 · Jeffrey MoodyMy grandkids have been dancing at Madelyn’s for over a decade! They have learned so much and have become wonderful dancers thanks to Madelyn and her teachers!
