★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This dance company is wonderful they care so much for their students and encourage them to dance at school for competition and facilitate them to work hard and become great dancers that may be able to compete at a college level. the coaches are wonderful and ensure the girls are getting the best training and working to their full potential. i could not speak higher of this dance company. i recommend everyone send their daughter and son here!
August 08 · H PowellMy daughter has gone here for 6 years and has never even thought of leaving her studio for anywhere else! MAC puts on beautiful recitals and has beautiful routines at competitions. MAC also has the best staff who have a range of experience in the dance world. My daughter, Savanna Steffens, started dance here and is about to graduate and attend college as a dance major. She is completely grateful and feels ready to conquer the college dance world because of all the training and opportunities MAC has given her. The studio is very friendly as a whole. Savanna sees her studio as a second family and is friends with everyone and all levels and all ages. They are so supportive of each other at competitions and everyone comes to support their fellow dance friends while they compete their solos even if they don’t compete that day! Savanna and some of the other girls have even gone to some high school dance teams competitions/performances to cheer them on. The MAC staff is completely supportive of their dancers taking classes and getting training from outside teams/dance companies as well. My daughter, Savanna, and a few of her friends at Mac take drop in classes weekly at another St. Louis studio to get training from a professional adult company director. Savanna is also in an outside training program full time while she attends MAC, so the Mac completely encourages and supports their dancers to get outside training. Here’s why: The dancers that seek outside training bring back knowledge and inspire the other dancers to work harder! If you want your son/daughter to feel welcome with a full dance family, have experience in the dance world, and be well-trained, come to MAC Dance!
April 23 · sheri steffensAs I may not have a daughter that dances at this studio I am putting a review out here out of disappointment as a whole with things I have learned and that have transpired with the owners/teachers. I have a daughter that dances on a high school dance team that has experienced negativity from MAC. The owners/teachers at this studio are NOT friendly to all high school dance teams, they make comments to the students about being late to class (dance team runs 2:45-4:45 after school and the studio expects the girls to be there at 4:45) which to me is absurd as most parents aren't even home from work that early! They have said very malicious untrue things about some dance team coaches. They preach positivity but than speak very negatively about others. They gossip about other girls and families with their students when they think no one is listening. 2 years ago they encouraged dance team girls to skip their high school dance team NATIONALS to participate in a dance studio REGIONAL competition, and as we all know Nationals are what these girls have worked all season for! There have been several girls that have quit MAC once dance team started in high school cause they do not work well with these girls and are not encouraging of them and their high school teams. If they tell you they support high school dance team they are lying. They do not support them, they talk negatively about coaches, and they expect these girls to choose studio 1st when it's not necessary (plenty of girls juggle studio and dance team with no issues). There are plenty of other top notch studios out there that are dance team friendly and even encourage it. I would talk to other studios and find out their stance somewhere else before sending my kid to MAC. It's my opinion after the last couple seasons that these owners and teachers are unprofessional in their behavior. These are just some of the reasons I give such a low rating. I could go on and on, but think twice before sending your kid to this studio. Just ask them how many girls have quit once they start high school dance team. Maybe they need to re-evaluate their treatment of these girls. Why do they single out certain dance teams? Again strongly recommend looking somewhere else when choosing a studio!
March 08 · LatybugSTLI went here for four years. I enjoyed this studio in the beginning when I only took hip hop, but then when I started taking other classes such as jazz, tap, and ballet and I would dread going to class. I LOVE to dance, but just not at this studio. When I was at this studio I just never felt welcomed. I felt like no one knew I existed or even cared about me. The only way this dance studio excepts you is if you are on the competition team, which I did not do. The only thing I liked about this studio was the choreography.
January 18 · Kayla JonesTop notch studio, good family environment. My daughter has attended this studio since she was 3, so 8 years. Staff is wonderful. Would not want my child anywhere else. 😍
