★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This has the potential to be a great program. But what’s reported online is not whats happening in the program. The quality of the program is not there kids are not learning and the directors don't know whats really happening on site. They go by what the teacher say and the teachers will lie to save there check. My daughter was suspended for 3 days for running from a child who was chasing her with a thumb tack. Though safety is an issue but there was no supervision for those kids…. I can say more but.. parents be mindful that its not what it seems.. and they can remove your kid at any moment and throw your whole schedule off.
December 17 · Bee HarmoniI absolutely love Moves and Grooves.. My daughter started with them this past summer and I enjoyed every part of the program. It was professional, affordable, and they actually brought out my child's personality. She has DEFINITELY changed since being with these woman. I was BEYOND thrilled when I found out they had a program at her school after hours...( not after care...some parents use a DANCE company as babysitters...) it was a bit rocky in the beginning I must admit but I almost burst into tears when I saw that my daughters camp instructor ( Ms Imani) was transferred to her school. She came in organized and revamped everything to make it so much easier for the parents. My child's homework was done every week.. Which is a plus since this is a DANCE. Program. Oh and she keeps snacks on deck! I'm forever grateful for these woman and I'm thankful to have called the number on that sign!!
December 03 · Ciara JohnsonIn the beginning, we had a good experience. We have just moved to Nashville and we're unfamiliar with any after school care for our child. I noticed that he never started any homework there, despite the fact the program states they provide homework help. If you have ever been in there, the only thing that is organized is the dance moves they show the children (which I thought were very cute!) but heaven forbid your child has a emotional issue. They won't work with you even when you try and offer to meet them halfway. One counselor for something like 15 or more kids.. Back in our state, that was against the law... 1 adult per 7 kids. I will be looking elsewhere, where my child can actually get after school help with homework and not just be fed snacks and given crayons and paper to draw on. I understand it's cheap, and you definitely get what you pay for. No connection, nothing. So if you are absolutely stuck and have nowhere to leave your child after school, I guess this might be OK. But the Y is only 15 dollars more, and you get so much more than here.
November 23 · CH X (ThatsNoMo0n)Moves and Grooves is one of the best dance companies around. I would recommend any parent to sign their child, girl our boy with them. It is an educational and self-esteem booster. Whenever available, they will also do performances in and around the community.
February 11 · Antoinette PI am a student and attended in after school program and is in summer camp at this time. Yes i can dance very well. I am punished with my group even though i do what i am told. For example, we were rehearsing our showcase for the end of the year. If i did something wrong i would go through everything in my head so i won't make anymore mistakes. I had face, did all the moves right, and remembered all the corrections my dance teacher had given me. So when a student messes up and/or misbehave we are all punished. Which isn't fair. We were told to run outside in 89° from a.z kelly's hill to the entrance of the school parking lot. I was highly upset. They say were going to have fun, and we do sometimes. But by the end of the day almost half of the camp is crying or upset. I think that we should be able to go home and tell our parents i had a lot of fun today at summer camp, and not cry or be mad about being in trouble for someone elses actions. I know i might get cut from routines from saying this, but i really am just speaking my mind. I hope you read this and do something about it.
