★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This used to be a great studio to learn ballet as an adult. However, the quality and quantity of classes and instruction have significantly decreased over a short period of time. One of their best dance instructors abruptly left and many of the adult students followed suit and joined another nearby studio. When concerns were mentioned about the quality of class and lack of instruction, I was told the current instructor needed more time to provide technical feedback so that he could warm up to new students. That's not good practice considering he may only have one chance to keep a student. There have been too many changes within a short time for my liking. The studio was even closed for an entire week in August. The studio is poorly run and instructors have had issues getting paid and keeping their visas. This is so disappointing considering the best instructors have left because of visa issues the owner wouldn't pay. I feel as if I'm owed a refund since I didn't learn anything with the new instructor. Overall, I would not recommend it and would like my concerns resolved.
September 13 · Brandi SmithDO NOT COME HERE! After two years at the studio we decided to leave because of poor management! I feel like they operate quite poorly when it comes to payments and finances. Multiple times we were charged xx amount fo money without permission for the most horrible and low-quality t-shirts that we never wanted to purchase! Also I sent an email informing them we are leaving and they still charged me one extra month because I needed to send a withdrawal from 30 days in advance. So they took the payment but they wouldn't let my daughter attend class. I am still here, 2 months after the withdrawal form was sent, being charged and fighting to talk to someone to get my money back! very dishonest and very disappointing! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE where there is more transparency and better organizational, and communication skills!
September 06 · Diletta BernabiniIf I could give this studio a 0 I would. I was very upset after the last performance and I decided to give myself time to process and calmly decided if I should write a review. The time has come to review. The last performance, that my daughter performed in and I attended, was terrible. The director screamed at the kids, the audience was told to get out of the theater because the show was not ready, even though the doors opened 35 minutes late, the show was well over an hour later, the intermissions were close to 40 minutes long, and the director informed the very annoyed and late audience to drink her wine because the show would look better. My daughter was miserable, all the dancers were crying before the show, and the director continued to scream and lecture the kids on being cultured. She yelled at the dancers for being on Game Boys when they were trying to film parts of the rehearsal for a video. There were no game boys in any dancers' hands. I would not send my child there ever! Even if they offer 50% off classes and camps, it is not worth it. There is cheaper child care else where.
June 13 · L.W MillertonMy daughter’s teacher was fine. Unfortunately, though, this studio lacks proper management. Classes were cancelled multiple times with less than 24 hours notice and no credit was given, except to say that she could attend a makeup class (during the week, which is not possible since my husband and I both work). Additionally, I had to jump through numerous hoops to cancel my daughters’ enrollment (multiple emails and calls and then filling out a form), and they’re still charging me! This is terribly disappointing. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
August 01 · T NDO NOT COME HERE!If I could leave zero or negative stars I absolutely would. The management (or lack thereof) is a joke. She tries to use the single mom card to guilt you into feeling sorry or showing her understanding, but the sad truth is those are both things she would never show towards anyone. I NEVER agreed to the terms and conditions of the contract I signed for my child, and cancelled the contract I paid for before even attending any classes. We had to move because of unforeseen circumstances. She said she would refund what I paid and remove the future auto payments from my account after a phone call I had with her. She failed to do EITHER. I am still seeing attempted charges every month (I keep my accounts locked for this reason) and am yet to receive any refund. I sent her screenshots of the “terms and conditions” she says I agreed to- which I never did- and she says that because I agreed to them she doesn’t need to refund me. It’s atrocious. After reading all the horrible reviews she has here and on Yelp, I KNOW that she needs to have a suit brought against her for her completely disingenuous and dishonest business practices. All she does is take advantage of people and lie to them. I don’t understand how companies like hers are permitted to remain open and continue to steal from the community. I hope a lawyer reads this and offers to help. Save yourself and your children from this sham of a corrupt business owner. The kicker is that even if you do let your child go to classes here, you can’t even be there for the classes. Somehow you’re expected to blindly trust a despicable person like her to take care of your children while stealing from you any way she can. Save yourself and your families. Find a company with better values. Find a company that knows what honesty and respect for others is. DO NOT let her take from you as well. If I could have a story on the news about this I would. EVERYONE deserves to know what a malicious person and company this is!
