August 01 · Milagros EscurraI’ve been going to Salsa in Queens since June, and this is HANDS DOWN the best salsa studio I’ve been to!Here’s why:1. They actually take the time to teach all the steps and moves. Surprisingly, that’s not very common—I’ve been to places where everything feels rushed just to fit into the one-hour time slot.2. The instructors are epic. They make it fun and engaging, and if you fall behind, just raise your hand and you’ll hear a “I got you!” as they quickly come over to show you the move up close. I’ve personally taken a ton of classes with Tyrone and he’s so so good.3. They always leave enough time at the end to practice the full combo to at least two songs.4. At the end of class, they perform the combo slowly with the 1-2-3, 5-6-7 counts from two different angles, and then demonstrate with music. Everyone records and then it’s super easy to play it back.5. They offer a variety of classes, including cycles, partner work, styling, performance, and more.
August 05 · Andrew PWe came from Fred Astaire professional Dance Studio in Smithtown, Suffolk where a private Salsa / Rumba lesson was only 40 min and 5 lessons cost $544.00. I learn 4-5 steps a day at Salsa in Queens and have the benefit of having multiple partners. The experience we've gained is immeasurable and the instructors are patient, energetic and fun.
July 13 · Mark DennisThe class is very informative, well paced and fun. The instructors are great and always have time to go over steps during the break time. Overall, I am pleased with the class and really enjoy how they refer to communication when teaching the steps.
April 22 · Alisha SAs a first timer and not that great with rhythm, I felt very comfortable with the class setting and Marcus and am looking forward to working on my starting technique.
