★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a fantastic experience at Step up 2 dance! The event was well-organized, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was very positive. Our dancers had a wonderful time performing, and we truly appreciated the supportive environment. The judging was fair and constructive, and everything ran smoothly. Thank you for creating such a great experience for our dancers, teachers, and families—we can't wait to come back next year!
March 18 · Dance Track StudioThey do a great job organizing the event. I like that it is not over crowded and the judging is pretty fair. It's a nice event.
March 17 · Rachele KaklesNever have I seen a competition ran like this. AWFUL MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY. Maybe they’re just too tired after “4 decades” to care anymore? This event was overbooked. The amount of studios/dancers/parents was over capacity to the venue they booked. The rude director on stage, Carol blamed the capacity problems on the school and fire marshal. When this company knew how many people they booked for their event. The event being overbooked for the school selected was a fire hazard with the marshal. Parents were turned away from the building and not seeing their child perform. Teams drove hours to be here. Some parents had to wait in a car for hours during 30• weather.Awards are all lumped together and extremely unprofessional. Dancers don’t get their placement pin included in their entry. You must buy it. Trophies are of the thinnest plastic and say no placement on them.On a positive note, the professional picture company that was hired were helpful and pleasant.
March 24 · P FamilyWe attended Step Up 2 Dance's mini-National event in Hampton Beach and had a blast! They did a Master class (free of charge) for all levels on day 1, competition on day 2. All solos got a trophy, and from what I watched, the judging was spot on! We will definitely be back.
July 11 · Chelsea MalcolmI am not a fan of leaving negative reviews but feel this is necessary for the parents of dancers who invest a lot of time and money going to these competitions. Reasons for 2 stars was this competition was a 1 day competition compared to our usual 3 day weekend comps we go to but ended up costing more somehow. There were no programs available, just a poster board which you had to take pics of to know what number they were at. Good luck with trying to keep scores. Also the photographer and videographer supposedly canceled last minute. No pics or recording which was fine because they allowed us to record with phones if we wanted to which was fine. Any groups other than solos receive no trophy/plaque etc for the studio but it’s there if you want to purchase which I find funny because you offer that but can’t make up programs which most dance parents would purchase for the normal 15-20$. And finally the last complaint which is the most rediculous thing I have ever seen. Everyone who has been to a competition knows that there are top 10 or top 5 etc in your category. So if you have a competitive dancer who is graded harder and expected to perform to a certain degree, they are going against other dancers in their grade. This studio scores dancers in different levels all together! So if you have a dancer in a lower level but scores a higher score, that score trumps the dancer who is in a higher level but graded harder. As a sports person this is rediculous. That’s like scoring amateur and professional athletes all together.
