★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was late to class. (Adult class.) I had no clue that this would inconvenience anyone because usually there are kids running around and staff members on hand when you show up. In this case, my class was the only class, and the doors were locked. I figured class was cancelled and went home. Then I received some emails that attempted to shame me. (All I had said was, "No one was there!") The managers were determined to hate on me, as though I had deliberately intended to ruin everyone's life. Since I don't like being demonized for sport, I told them off. They had it coming. EDIT: bite me.
July 21 · MegI attended my first and last drop in here recently as an adult tapper. I had seen online that this studio approached things a bit more in a serious manner, and that is definitely accurate. It is not for everyone, as for me I am more tapping just as a fun hobby. I do think the content being taught was good however the instructor’s method of teaching was way too aggressive for my liking. If it’s your first class at a new studio you probably don’t want to be nit-picked and called out the whole class, especially in such a blunt and unkind way. Constructive feedback is one thing, however barking corrections the whole class and just expecting new students to know how to do things your way, being hostile and talking down to people is very uncomfortable. I’ve never before experienced such a hostile environment and safe to say I will not be returning. There are lots of other options in the Kentuckiana area and I would not recommend this instructor at least. She did apologize to me after I walked out of her class and I will give her the benefit of the doubt and say maybe she is truly a nice person however that is not the impression I received. I felt undermined and bullied leaving this class and very disheartened as a dancer. I hope that future dancers here would be treated with more patience and kindness.
July 12 · Katelyn ArrowsmithCultural pass adventure was a good experience but more details should have been provided. Ex. 30 minute classes during blocked time I thought I was going to be late for a 10 am start time so I rushed then found out I could have caught the next time slot. My kiddo had a blast in creative movement course
July 24 · SidneyI thought the performance was great...have seen it many times. The dancers were tight & did the group dances together/ in zinc. The orchestra which accompanied the dancers were also spectacular. My parents were dancers in Europe for yrs. My father had a company. My father was Robert Iglesias mother Aida Ramirez. They toured for many yrs in Europe & also USA at Carnegie hall and were also on Ed Sullivan in New York. They danced flamenco Spanish folk & some ballet incorporated. I've taken ballet for yrs as I growing up. I've been around dance & music about 1/2 of my life. The ballet was wonderful as well as the music. Thank You Aida R Wages daughter of Aida Ramirez & Roberto Iglesias
January 02 · Aida R WagesHigh-quality instruction for dancers of any age and skill level. Whether you're brand new to ballet or a seasoned professional staying on top of your technique during a break, you'll find classes to suit your needs along with a friendly community of hard-working students.
