★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Honestly, this is a ballet school that does everything BUT teach Ballet. We had our daughter enrolled here for three years, she did not learn anything because she wasn’t taught anything. They do not push the girls to do what they can actually achieve had they been instructed by competent instructors who actually cared to teach actual ballet and the principles involved in it such as grace, poise, choreography, ballet fundamentals, technique, etc, etc. Classes are taught by teenage girls who do not know the first thing about what the word “ballet” actually entails. 3 full years of dance recitals with poor choreography, cheap foot taps and hand claps. Almost a year of “ballet” classes that climax in an underwhelming dance recital which is anything but “spectacular.” Ballerinas ( younger and older) are not synchronized during performances, demonstrating poor instruction and lack of care/pride in the craft and the ART of actual ballet. Many of the “ballerinas” along with instructors are anything BUT graceful, most are severely overweight (if not obese), and just about every dance recital, you can expect the same ‘cheap’ unchoreographed dance number. After attending this years last dance recital for our daughter and being completely underwhelmed by how much time we wasted sending her to this school, my wife and I finally had enough. At 7 years old, our daughter basically told us that this school doesn’t teach actual ballet, doesn’t push them to reach their full potential, and treats them like babies. This was very evident by her last 3 dance recitals; 3 years wasted for us to realize that this school is pointless for any girl or parent who wants to embark on the journey of learning to be an actual “ballerina,” or is passionate about the art of dance. If you want your daughter to learn anything about ballet, then send them to an actual ballet school because this is not it. Not to mention this “school” literally nickel and dimes you for everything. Not worth the money, there are far better and more professional schools in the area. This school is simply for “chatty moms” who like to brag to other “chatty moms” about how their kid is involved in all these “extracurricular activities,” but doesn’t actually learn or do anything. Save your money, and your daughters time and send them to a REAL ballet academy. This is nothing but a money grab and a show for those parents who don’t care to take the art of dance seriously, or don’t really care.
May 20 · eddieboyyy1This is absolutely the best dance studio in Central Florida. My granddaughters have danced here for over 10 years and the growth I’ve seen in them is remarkable! Morgan and her team are so patient and sweet and you can really see that they love their students. Every time I pick up my granddaughters from dance, all I see are happy dancers and passionate teachers. The teachers foster relationships my girls will cherish forever. Their performances get better every time and are so professionally run. I would recommend every parent and grandparent to consider Tutus for their child. Thank you for everything you do!!
December 16 · Donna law10 years ago, when we first met Miss Morgan, we knew this was the dance studio for our girls - her heart of gold, passion for dance, and pure love for each and every child there is amazing. As the studio has grown, each and every “new” teacher has brought the same love for the children and passion for dance. This is more than a dance studio, it’s a family. The amazing teachers have helped my girls grow into amazing young women and dancers. What a blessing for our family and for Oviedo to have Tutus. ❤️ Even if you don’t have a child dancing there, you should try to attend and be amazed by one of their amazing recitals.
December 17 · Dr. Jonathan DeckerTutus is absolutely the best thing that has happened to Oviedo and is a welcome presence in the new Oviedo on the Park! We have been part of the Tutus family when my youngest daughter stared with a ballet class at age 3. She is 13.5 now!!! ! My younger daughter started when she was 5 and is going to be 11 next week. Morgan is one of the most beautiful souls on the planet and is absolutely the sweetest, most loving teacher that cares for each dancer like they are her own. She has built a tribe of the most talented, passionate and motivated teachers, whose commitment to the dancers is evident every day at the studio and really shines during performances. If you are looking for a non-competitive, no pressure, friendly, loving, accepting experience for your daughter or son, Tutus School of Dance should be top of your list! Their recitals are so moving and really allow each dancer to shine! Seriously, do yourself a favor and come check out what they have to offer! Best decision I ever made for my children!!!
December 15 · ALICIA DECKERReally bad planning for holiday concert. They position our twin four year old daughters at very back of stage and could not see them at all from our seat in the corner front row. All seats were assigned. They did not warn or block out those seats when booking online. This was a moment where we could celebrate and enjoy all their hard work over the past few months. Why would you do that with such a small group of kids? Really disappointed parents and customers. You run a business and should be thinking about these details of where and who can see what...***Update*** Please see owner (Morgan Cate's) response. Last line says it all about the owner "I would prefer you to not have to make a trip back to Tutus."That sums up their customer service / experience!
