For more than three decades, Young Dance has been a cornerstone of the St. Paul community, dedicated to a powerful mission: transforming lives through movement. This is a dance school that stands apart from the rest, not just for its high-quality dance education, but for its unwavering commitment to inclusivity and personal growth. Young Dance believes that every person, regardless of their background or physical ability, has the right to express themselves through dance. The studio's welcoming philosophy creates a safe and supportive environment where dancers can explore their creativity, build confidence, and connect with a community that feels like family. The impact of this approach is deeply felt by its students, with one long-time dancer sharing that the program "changed my life," and that it is "truly part of who I am now."
Young Dance is an organization that actively practices disability advocacy through its core programming. It is a place where every body is welcomed, and every person is accepted as long as they are "willing to dance!" This sentiment is a testament to the studio's inclusive spirit. The dedicated "All Abilities Dancing" program, a hallmark of the school, provides a creative and collaborative space for youth with and without disabilities to dance together. This focus on peer-to-peer mentorship and a shared love of movement creates a rich and transformative experience for all involved. The studio is a place where physical and artistic excellence are encouraged in a way that is kind, collaborative, and deeply personal. Instructors, like Julia, are praised for their talent in working with children and their ability to create a wonderfully inclusive atmosphere. For families in the Twin Cities, Young Dance offers an unparalleled opportunity for their children to not only learn to dance but to also develop social skills, self-awareness, and a sense of belonging in a truly special community.

Young Dance Reviews
This dance program changed my life. I've been dancing here my whole life, and it is truly part of who I am now. Young Dance is amazingly inclusive and adaptive, and they accept each and every person as long as they are willing to dance! Classes are fun and social, I have made so many friends through my classes at Young Dance. I'm stronger now, more graceful, and best of all, I know more of who I am. Young Dance classes build all kinds of confidence, and I am in debt to them for all they have done for me. The super community there is great beyond words. Love them!!

January 07 · Madeline StromMy 14-year-old daughter has been dancing in Young Dance classes and in the company for several years and is thrilled. She find inspiration in the techniques and creative practice and incredible support and strength in this vibrant, welcoming community. It has been a warm and motivating "home/family" for her through many school changes and the pandemic. The teachers are so intentional about their work with a great diversity of ages and abilities and my daughter has learned so much.
