Unlike many studios that focus solely on traditional forms, ADIDC proudly offers a full spectrum of movement arts, including classic dance classes, the allure of international dances, and exciting specialty programs like Aerial Silks and Acro Tumbling. This dedication to diversity ensures that every member of the Southern Arizona community can find a path for growth and self-expression.
At the heart of ADIDC's success is its esteemed leadership, particularly the studio owner, Alma, who is described by families as a hands-on professional and an excellent role model. The teaching faculty are consistently praised as devoted professionals who are highly skilled in their crafts. This combination of expert instruction and a family-like, supportive environment has led to tremendous growth in discipline and skill among students, many of whom consider the studio their second family.
Families have shared compelling stories of success, noting that the studio provides a great balance between performing and competing. This caters to dancers' individual goals, whether recreational or pre-professional.
- Life-Changing Workshop Access: The studio regularly brings in guest artists for workshops, providing dancers with crucial exposure and training from outside professionals. This allows the studio's "smaller town girls" to "experience more and grow," directly leading to significant achievements like acceptances to professional summer dance camps in major cities.

For Arizona families seeking a dance education that is both artistically enriching and personally transformative, ADIDC Dance Studio is an exemplary choice. The decision to enroll here is justified by the studio's rare combination of deep local roots and broad artistic horizons.
Firstly, the studio’s extensive tenure in the community—over 25 years—speaks volumes about its stability, commitment, and success. This history translates into a well-refined curriculum and a deeply ingrained sense of community that current families value tremendously. New students immediately become part of this supportive "second family."
Secondly, the unique curriculum diversity is a significant value proposition. Where else in Southern Arizona can a student seamlessly transition from Classic Dance Classes to the rigorous training of Acro Tumbling, or explore the cultural artistry of International Dances like Folklorico and Irish Dance? This allows dancers to explore and find their niche, a capability the community appreciates, noting they can "try various classes to see where would fit" and receive honest, compassionate feedback.
Finally, the studio provides an unwavering pathway to excellence. The leadership of owner Alma, combined with the structured Advanced Training and the Elite competitive program, ensures that serious dancers have the resources and mentorship needed to pursue professional ambitions. By regularly bringing in workshops with guest artists, ADIDC effectively closes the geographic gap, giving "smaller town girls" the big-city opportunities that have already led to professional dance camp acceptances. ADIDC is not just teaching dance; it is building confident, highly-skilled individuals prepared for success in any future endeavor.

July 30 · Jennifer SmithThis studio has been a great home for both of my daughters for 12 years. It has provided them tremendous growth in dance and a great balance between performing and competing. They really keep in touch with who they are individually as people as well as their dance skill development. They regularly bring in guests for workshops to even further allow these smaller town girls to experience more and grow. This has led to my older daughter learning to teach and being accepted to a professional summer dance camp in Los Angeles. They offer diverse varieties of levels and class types. Their shows are full productions and are beautiful and fun. The Studio owner Alma is hands on and couldn’t be a better role model or professional.
July 23 · Meghan ThomasMy mom and I have been dancing at Alma's studio on and off for several years and it has been an enjoyable experience every time. The teachers are very experienced and knowledgeable and the recitals they put on every year are fun and enjoyable to watch. I highly recommend taking class here for all styles, levels and ages of dance!
July 24 · Michelle SigonaTaking dance classes at Alma Dolores International Dance Centre has been one of the joys of my life. Alma’s mission of uniting us all through the power of community and dance is so beautiful, and that love is exuded through her, her staff, and her community. The studio not only provides amazing quality dance instruction, but also infuses you with positive creative energy. I’m truly so grateful for the amazing opportunities and experiences I’ve been able to have because of this studio.
July 26 · Summer HomWhen you are a student and/or a parent of a student at Alma's studio you truly are family. My daughter and I have been at Alma's studio since 2004 and every moment has been amazing. My daughter is a junior at the University of Arizona taking dance because of the love and passion for dance that started with Alma and continued throughout all her years. The care and attention to detail she puts into her recitals is limitless. Alma's dedication to providing a quality show so everyone in the community, even those who aren't dancers or have children who are dancers, can and will enjoy is extraordinary.
