★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I paid money to this place in may for my daughters birthday as a gift I got her a session in the mini movers class at the time .. I’d chosen a day I thought would be convenient for me. The skinny light skinned lady at the front desk told me I would be able to change it NO PROBLEM . ( she emphasized ) if there was any trouble. And there was trouble . they basically told me there was nothing I can do . Which is unfortunate because I have family that are long time customers with this company and this dance class is not cheap . I just thought they’d have a better plan in place considering this is a class with both the parent and the dancer . Buts it’s fine this is why I don’t support other black businesses they’re to inconsiderate. She ONLY offered me a refund because I wouldn’t take no for an answer. Left a totally disgusting taste in my mouth with her snarky remarks as if I was previously informed about the policy ..WHICH I WAS NOT to my knowledge I thought there would be no problem I called as a concerned really disappointed parent and they had no remorse . DONT GO HERE UNLESS U WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME .
October 05 · Taylor Joneswell i don’t believe yall sorry to hear anything as a matter of fact I believe that yall don’t care . And there was no misunderstanding. I completely understood everything that was said to me . Apparently the young lady at the front desk has a hard time understanding you alls policy herself because if she did she would’ve made sure that I knew there could potentially be a problem with capacity or whatever the case may be. she should have emphasized that considering I was paying for the class MONTHS IN ADVANCE . your absolutely right you all didn’t reach my expectations AT ALL . and in fact an refund WAS NOT offered until it was demanded because I was pissed that id waited all these months for my daughter to start just for her to not even be able to start . At the end of the day had it been made clear I wouldn’t be able to change her class I WOULD HAVE NEVER GIVEN YALL MY MONEY THAT EARLY IN ADVANCE ITS REALLY QUITE SIMPLE . I don’t need to contact yall directly I already spoke with someone directly and they were no help . Only thing I have respect for is that after I pitched a b^*!% I finally got a refund . But I should’ve never had to do that . Not to mention when my family came to get my refund yall told her I paid with a credit card when I paid cash which goes to show me that yall have a lot of things yall need to figure out. She literally had to chase my daughter’s grandma out the facility to say she made a mistake “oh she did pay cash” I was on the phone . But it’s okay Have a good day .
October 05 · Ky ThomasI absolutely love ddc! My daughter is 4 she is a belle island bunny She attends 4 classes which are ballet , tap , hip hop and tumbling which they are split into combo classes. The teachers are very kind, friendly, and patient and they love working with the kids. She is learning at great rate and it’s worth every penny! 😀
February 01 · Janell minesI have 9 nieces and about 7 young cousins that attend the amazing Detroit Dance Center. The DDC is an amazing dance company led by 3 black women, that engages in every aspect of what they offer. They are here in Detroit for Detroit. A reflective mirror for our young girls. I encourage you to give a class a try as an adult while your child takes a trial as well! Fun for the whole family!
January 28 · Nikole MorrisWe love DDC. My girls attend and are always ready to show up to class even my oldest who never wants to do anything, which means DDC is doing a great job. Keeping the kids attentive and ready to learn. All the instructors are always smiling and welcoming.
