Divine Dance Institute Introduce
Divine Dance Institute, located in Capitol Heights, Maryland, is a vibrant and welcoming center for arts education and dance training. Known affectionately as DDI, this studio goes beyond just teaching steps and techniques; it is a place dedicated to the holistic growth of its students, nurturing not only their artistic abilities but also their character. Under the direction of the highly praised Amanda Standard, DDI has cultivated an atmosphere of "love and harmony," making it a highly recommended place for children and adults alike to learn the arts.
The core mission of DDI is to provide exceptional technical training in movement while also fostering a strong academic and spiritual foundation. The instructors are lauded for their dedication and skill, with one parent noting that they are "amazing at what they do" and have taught their child "how to master their ability in dance and share their talents beyond the community." This focus on both personal and community impact sets Divine Dance Institute apart, creating a purpose-driven environment where students can find their artistic voice and use it for good. The studio's commitment to spiritual growth is also a key aspect of its identity, which is appreciated by new and long-standing families.
A new family to the studio, less than four months in, was already impressed with the technical growth of their dancers, who are "excited about dance and going in." This speaks volumes about the quality of instruction and the positive atmosphere the studio maintains. The feeling of community is further reinforced by the fact that the students get along well, with one parent noting, "the other dancers are nice!" This is an important detail for any parent looking for a safe and supportive environment for their child to learn and grow.
Divine Dance Institute is conveniently located at 505 Hampton Park Blvd, Capitol Heights, MD 20743, USA. We understand the importance of accessibility for all members of our community. Our facilities include a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that our studio is welcoming to everyone. The location is easily reachable for residents of Prince George's County and the surrounding Maryland areas, making it a central hub for dance and arts education. Our clean and organized space is designed to provide the best possible environment for learning and artistic expression.
We offer flexible options to fit the needs of modern families, including on-site services and online classes. This versatility allows students to continue their training even when they can't make it to the studio in person. For payments, we accept credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making transactions simple and secure. While a parent lounge would be a nice addition, we work to keep our prices reasonable, and our "substantial sibling discount says, 'We get it. We want your dancer to have a home.'" We are constantly listening to feedback from our community to improve our offerings and scheduling, such as looking for ways to make classes like tap available on the same nights as other popular classes.

What is worth choosing Divine Dance Institute?
Choosing a dance studio is a significant step for any family, and Divine Dance Institute offers a unique and valuable experience that sets it apart. The primary reason to choose DDI is its dual commitment to technical excellence and spiritual growth. Unlike many other studios, Divine Dance Institute explicitly aims to foster a positive, harmonious, and uplifting environment, as reflected in the name itself. The feedback from a parent who has only been with the studio for a few months already speaks to this, noting that their children are not only "grow technically" but are also "excited about dance and going in." This is a powerful indicator of a studio that gets it right.
Another major factor is the quality of the instruction and the leadership. Under the direction of Amanda Standard, the teachers are not just instructors but mentors who are dedicated to helping students "master their ability in dance." This level of investment from the faculty ensures that every student, whether a beginner or advanced, receives the attention and guidance they need to succeed. The studio's focus on "Arts Education" and a "Drama Program" further broadens the opportunities for students, making it a comprehensive institute for performing arts.
The practical and financial considerations also make DDI a smart choice for Maryland families. The studio offers a "straight forward payment plan options and substantial sibling discount," which makes high-quality dance training more accessible for families with multiple children. This demonstrates that DDI truly "wants your dancer to have a home" and is committed to building a lasting community. The option for "Online classes" and the on-site services provide flexibility that is invaluable in today's busy world.
Finally, the strong sense of community and the emphasis on positive relationships among the dancers themselves makes DDI an excellent environment for social development. The fact that students say "the other dancers are nice" is a testament to the culture of respect and support that is encouraged at the studio. Divine Dance Institute is more than a place to learn to dance; it's a place to grow as a person, build confidence, and become part of a family that supports and celebrates one another. For families in Capitol Heights and beyond, it is an institution that provides an enriching and truly divine experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Divine Dance Institute is the place for growth in dance acting and other talents. It’s also a place for spiritual growth. The teachers here are amazing at what they do and they have taught my baby and others on how to master their ability in dance and share their talents beyond the community. The atmosphere of DDI dance studio is filled with love and harmony and is under the direction of one of the most amazing director Amanda Standard. This is the place to take your child to learn the arts for sure and it is highly recommended.
November 20 · Freddye Jean CarterYour dancer will grow technically at this studio. I am so impressed by the terms and challenges my dancers come home practicing. They are excited about dance and going in. Important to me - they say the other dancers are nice! Hope to see spiritual growth as well, since the name is Divine Dance Institute. New family - less than four months in. Straight forward payment plan options and substantial sibling discount says, "We get it. We want your dancer to have a home." A parent/sibling lounge would be nice, but the price is right. Making things available on the same night would be great. For example, my dancers just can't take tap because it is not offered on the same day as ballet/jazz etc. Not sure about the music selection, so I cannot really speak to that. Overall, great experience so far. My dancers are all smiles.
December 02 · jay macMy daughter has attended DDI for 11 years. The studio’s environment is loving, affirming and a safe place for vulnerable young people and seasoned adults alike. The mission helps to nurture their gifts in dance, acting and singing. The team of instructors are knowledgeable professionals who are dedicated to the artistry, their crafts and committed to the attendees.
November 26 · L PerkinsMy daughter loves this dance studio. Since the first day she started it was a welcoming atmosphere and they encouraged her not to be shy. I really feel like we as a family joined a community opposed to just dance classes. Onto her 2nd year now, she looks forward to going to practice, so she can master her new dance moves in preparation for the big showcase, at the end of the year. All she talks about after practice is being on stage and performing. This amazing staff has really helped her personality become more free spirited and outgoing. She also loves connecting with her dance team and having a good time. I can't thank the staff at DDI enough. It's like we struck gold on the first studio we tried which was recommended by a family member.
November 22 · Daryl HoltonWe (my daughter and I) love DDI. The studio is always clean. Dancers learn technique and the foundation of dance with a spiritual touch. DDI also gives community and togetherness, like a family. The staff and teachers are welcoming to new and existing members. This is more of a theater type not a competitive troop. The studio is joy just for children. There are classes for adults as well. So you can definitely make it a family thing.
