★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is where I started my pole journey nearly 3 years ago! I have a special place in my heart for this studio. I hadn’t actually had the chance to see the newer second studio next door until tonight! I took a Laybacks specialty class with Atenea and it was everything I needed. She’s a really incredible instructor and has such a clear, engaging way of breaking down even the most intimidating movements. I really appreciate her positive, supportive attitude and her years of expertise!
May 07 · Anne KastlerOne of the Beautiful studio. A lot of natural light. Clean, staff very friendly. Location right cross lake, very nice spot. The work out floor is padded, really smart design easy on knees. Met owner Amy she is very nice. Class size is small. Teacher is awesome - I took silk class with Sable, she is very knowledgeable give a lot great tips. I also took intro Lyra class Kissy is an awesome teacher I learned so many new tricks !❤️❤️ Comeback for sure!
May 03 · MarineI’m very new to this and was looking for a studio where I felt welcomed- instructor Mae Mae not only greeted me with open arms but also taught heels choreography with such finesse I picked up the routine seamlessly. Mae Mae simplified each 8 count with relatable references (sailor moon anyone?) that all novice dancers can feel sexy and confident with their craft in no time! There was also seasoned dancers taking Mae Mae’s class who acquired new skill sets from her class- she’s that amazing! I will be booking more classes with Mae Mae every chance I get! I also love how the studio is gender neutral and provides a safe and creative outlet for all- they offer sooooo many classes in all aspects of pole dance ranging from beginners to advance! Making new friends from just one class was just the icing on the cake for me. Oakland Pole + Dance has gained a loyal client and I’m excited to develop my craft in this studio 🤗
September 16 · Rizza AlcariaLove everything about OP&D! The instructors are incredible and the environment is so supportive. I also want to acknowledge Front Desk Manager Rox for all the consistent help with rentals, purchases, booking questions, and generally being a great resource to all students!
January 17 · Ilana ShareI’ve been going here for months now and I love how structured the classes are (especially the tricks classes)Taken classes with so many instructors including Maddy, Angel, Anne, Amy, Karina, Zahra and I’ve always had an excellent time in class. Variations are provided for different strengths, body types, capacities which I appreciate. Teachers do go around to spot you if needed or to remind you what body part goes where 😅My pole skills and my strength have improved coming here and I can’t wait to take more classesSuper clean. Mats are provided. Extra grip if needed. Tripods to record.
