Salinas School of Dance Reviews
My child has a lot of fun at Salinas School of Dance! Terrin is professional, kind, most importantly she's great with the kids and enjoys what she does. The ballerinas have a recital every year where they dance to a variety of music for example, ballet, tap, jaz, & Irish. It's not mandatory to register your child, but I've noticed my daughter's confidence blossom and it's a lot of fun to watch!
April 09 · Elizabeth CastilloMy daughter, Grace, really enjoyed this studio. The teachers were great and so were the kids. Its a great learning experience and a place that all children should want to be. my daughter grew up here at this studio and called it 'home'. The teachers are nice, caring, serious about dancing and great people for your kids. The girls put on fabulous and entertaining shows for you to watch! THis studio is a great place for begining and advanced dancers!
October 21 · David CallahanTo summarize, go somewhere like mpcI have multiple problems with this studio. First of all, though not much to it and the least of my problems, there was a lack of air conditioning. Second, these are not dance CLASSES; students almost always copy the teacher (if the teacher can lead) or other students. For those under 17, classes are separated by age group. Which means someone, with no experience, can be placed in an intermediate class and not get the basics. This can lead to injuries and strain on mental health. One of the teachers I clashed with in classes was Kailani. I was in the intermediate 2 class, but I had to switch to a new class because my teacher was on medical leave. She, Kailani, is absolutely an extraordinary dancer, but not good with students. During exercises, she would instruct, showing an exercise once and then eat a snack or talk to her friends as she watched the students continue the exercise. Other times, she would just announce that we were doing a combination (naming each step of the combination in french) yet not giving an example. Whenever she would give her students a combination that maybe seemed simple to her, she would get frustrated and teach us with a tone of “you should've known this.” Though I had problems with her, I absolutely wish her the best in her dance career. There was another teacher, that I didn’t learn the name of, that would teach on Tuesdays. It was like this but worse in her comments. She and her friends would laugh and make comments about the students. If you want to be TEACHED and not feel like the teachers are condescending, go somewhere like mpc, where they teach the basics to students with any type of experience.
December 07 · Kat RhopaloceraMs. Salina is a blessing! She has helped my little girl become so confident and I see her helping children of all ages shine. Very thankful to have found her.
September 22 · Jillian LeslieGreat experience with the daughter, really sweet and nice, but very bad experience with her mom. If she can’t tolerate kids she shouldn’t work around them.
