★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What a bummer! I was trying to find a new pole studio to frequent and this one was totally a let down for me.I have been doing pole for about two years at this point. At my old studio I was working through level two. I know each studio has their own way of defining each level and based off of Sedusa’s website information, I might land in their level one or level two. My plan was to attend their introduction class (Mon Aug 4) and get feedback from the instructor on where I might need to be placed for our future classes, but I never got the opportunity nor felt welcome to do so.I arrived to class 10 minutes early where I was greeted with a very loud and crowded room of people who are also taking this in class, most of which seem to know each other. It was incredibly overwhelming and felt super chaotic!I was very confused and began to think that I accidentally booked a private group class, but it was indeed the intro class. I wasn’t greeted by the instructor and they only communicated with me when they asked me what my name was and even then, I wasn’t asked any information regarding my interest in pole or even my past experiences with it, which has been my experience at most pole Studios I’ve visited. The entire class instruction was VERY VERY beginner level, but I did my best to get a good workout. Based on their level one information on the website, I was expecting there to be more variety and options for different skill levels.I appreciated the instructor’s teaching style, but there was only one time the instructor walked even remotely near my side of the room or gave me any kind of feedback. I also know that a lot of instructors provide differentiation and other options for people when they have achieved a trick or skill, but we were not given that so I had to get creative on my own. I understand that the class was filled with people who have never taken this class before, but if they looked in my corner of the room at least once, they might have seen that I was looking for a challenge. EVERY pole studio I have gone to has given their students tricks to work on that match their skill , and a simple private conversation with just us two could have been a great opportunity to differentiate for me personally so I got something out of the class. To add insult to injury, the last 10 minutes of class basically descended into everyone except me busting out into a full-blown photo shoot with each other on the poles. I came for a workout, and it was just very odd for me to experience this. All that might have been forgiven, but then at the end of the class, I overheard the instructor telling a fellow participant that it would be weird if somebody knew how to do everything in the class that they taught us. The instructor said this pretty clearly in my vicinity, which I found to be very unprofessional and possibly a slight jab at me. All I wanted was to find a new pole studio to call home and it’s sad that the only likely repeat customer in that class felt totally invisible the entire time — from start to finish!
August 04 · Lauren NicoleI started my pole journey here back in 2018. This place is the original.. it's been here forever... But now I hear it may be closing for good? I love the changes that were made it's all painted black and red and beautiful.. then why let it go? This place is amazing why not keep it going? I was really upset to hear about this. I took a class recently and the instructor I haven't seen her before but she is so cute! I love her energy her vibe.. it was only the instructor another girl and I in the class. Me and the other student were of similar fitness levels. I just felt like the instructor was maybe teaching the other student more than me... I don't know just a feeling I got... Or am I just being an attention $#@?&(&"" ? . she's amazing I really hope it doesn't close! that would be a shame ☹️
June 12 · Serrafina LovelessLarge beautiful studio, supportive non-judgemental instructors & owner, teaching women to be their best sexy self.I have been taking pole classes once a week at Sedusa since 2014. I was scared and self-conscious, and did not even know how to walk in heels, let alone 6inch high ones. I was already pretty good at movement then being a Qigong teacher, and acupuncturist, but I also wanted to explore my feminine divine, and flow even better in dynamic fluid movement. After I saw the movie "Rock of Ages", my feed keep showing Sedusa Studio in Campbell, and the Groupon ad brought me in. Carol was the owner, and her patience and sultry voice helped relax my fears and discomfort, so yes by the end of the Intro to Pole class, I felt more competent in this new movement form and sensual, accepting of and excited to explore this more feminine movement style. The main studio is large and inviting with low lighting, feels safe for women to explore being sensual, with other like minded women in the community. The strength of this studio is that it is women focused, make it a supportive environment and community.Fast forward 11 years, where I've taken weekly conditioning "Slinking Strength" pole classes, and other group pole dance classes. Have performed as a group with other students, in the internal dance showcases. While the studio has changed hands to Felicia, who kept it going through COVID, and some teacher changes over the years, the essential vibe of the studio is the same and these days unique in the pole dance community with other studios opening in the area. There are some really good teachers (Erica, Mz. K, Sade, Laarni, etc) at Sedusa that keep the place running, who helped further my self-healing and poling journey so that I was able to to dance my first solo for the showcase last Fall. Finally also competed in the Pole Sport Organization (PSO) Golden Gate Competition March 2025, and got a Silver Medal representing the studio.Thank you, Sedusa and the fabulous staff and community for making personal dance dreams come true. Highly recommend to get stronger and sexier with better body positive image. If you've any personal doubts, just start now and you won't regret it!
March 03 · Aileen C. Jong, L.Ac.I’ve been going to Sedusa consistently for 3 years and by continuing from that first series with Katie K., I found a lifelong passion for dance and feminine confidence.First, Sedusa is a such a beautiful studio-from the vintage vibe and chandelier in the lobby, the mood lighting that invites you to be your sexiest goddess self, the fun cage for photo ops, the hardwood floors and the tall poles…My other favorite thing about the studio is the emphasis on dance and sensuality compared to power tricks. You WILL learn to arch your back, point your toes and perfect your body rolls, all from amazing, quality instructors who are kind, great dancers. I appreciate that spotting for tricks is minimal, with emphasis on gaining the strength through conditioning to be able to do it on your own and in a graceful way.I know that the studio had to be women only per Campbell regulations but I actually love that I can be comfortable wearing my sexiest outfit in a supportive woman only environment. It’s super fun especially to do showcase in a low pressure scene with only women cheering you on as you spread your legs 😁I can say a million other good things about this studio but I’ll just say a couple more things. The private gorgeous Rose room is a wonderful asset to have to spend more time perfecting things learned in class. It’s got a great X pole, pink lighting and lots of mirrors. Also, Felicia, the owner is the sweetest and easy to contact even though she isn’t always on site. She’s a legendary pole dancer and classes with her are a real treat. I’ll be coming to this studio as long as I’m in the area!
July 24 · Anastasia NCome! Dance!Roll, whine, flow.Feel your spirit smile.I have been dancing here for a year now. There are many factors to rave about at this special place:*1. Felicia Druar.*Felicia is a gifted dancer, coach, and entrepreneur. She fully believes in every client's ability to not only dance but to radiate authentic femininity from within. She is thoughtful, caring, and understanding. Every design motif in each dance room (ummm-- there's a cage?!! cute!), every class's choreography that is carefully crafted, and every safety precaution taken during and after COVID shows you how much she cares for us. What is Sedusa without Felicia?*2. Instructors.*I cannot express the full extent of each teacher's talent.- Sade: her sass, her class, her wit, her breath-by-breath breakdown of each move. Thank you for instilling confidence in the beginner dancers' souls! You are truly inspiring, Sade, especially to women of color. We love you, Sade!- Erica: queen of flow & a beacon of light and hope for the core muscle challenged. Erica is so encouraging. She demonstrates a sequence and allows us the safe space to fail, flounder, then flourish. She provides modifications for a move that may feel uncomfortable.- Katie/"Apsara": I have heard so many positive remarks about Katie. She subbed for a class one time, and that was how I was able to experience her world-class instruction, even if for a moment. Katie is a petite powerhouse. She ensures that all of us, even if we are grunting from pain or impatience, get back up and SMILE and persevere! Thank you, Katie!- Cynthia: Serious, passionate, and fiery. Cynthia is articulate, down to the very last body wave. We appreciate you, Cynthia! This is only the beginning of positive reviews I have for each instructor. Will update as I continue dancing.*3. Atmosphere, ambience.*This is a sanctuary for ALL women.Sedusa is a healing oasis for any self-proclaimed shy girls, anxious girls, uncertain girls, unpopular girls, anti-conformist girls. For women who struggle to connect with their inner goddess, femininity, sensuality, and desirability -- this place is IT.The magic that happens within the closed doors of this studio speaks to my heart. Its impact to heal from inside of all us is immeasurable. 💖
