While specific branded programs may vary, a professional dance school of this nature typically offers a robust and structured curriculum encompassing the following popular styles and programs, which are essential for developing a well-rounded dancer:
- Classical Ballet & Pointe: Instruction focused on building strength, flexibility, control, and correct terminology, with advanced classes for students meeting the eligibility requirements to work en pointe.
- Tap Dance: Classes designed to develop rhythm, coordination, and musicality, focusing on ankle and knee flexibility and percussive footwork.
- Jazz Dance: High-energy instruction that emphasizes proper technique, body isolations, performance quality, and developing complex rhythms, often layered on a foundation of ballet.
- Lyrical/Contemporary Dance: For intermediate to advanced students, this style blends techniques from ballet and jazz, focusing on interpreting music and telling a story through fluid, expressive movement.
- Hip-Hop: High-energy classes that teach street dancing styles, encouraging students to develop their personal style and confidence.
- Combo Classes: Programs for younger students, often combining two styles (like Tap/Ballet Combo), to introduce fundamental techniques and terminology in an age-appropriate format.
- Creative Movement / Toddler Classes: Fun, introductory classes for the youngest dancers, focusing on imaginative music, games, and basic coordination.
- Technique & Skills Classes: Dedicated classes focusing purely on general technique, conditioning, and skills development without a performance focus, essential for strong growth.
- Performance & Competitive Programs: Opportunities for serious dancers to participate in special performance groups or competition teams, fostering advanced skill development and stage experience.

My dancer just wrapped up her 7th year of dance, all at That Dance Place. I asked my daughter how many stars she would rate her dance school and she told me 5 stars just aren’t enough. She loves coming here and has grown with each year. The prices are reasonable. You can count on modest and classy costumes and dance routines. I love that my daughter is not just learning dance, but she is taught to be responsible, accountable, set a good example, and to support other dancers. There are so many great role models at That Dance Place, and that has a lot to do with how the school is run. We are so thankful to have a dance school that shares our values.
August 10 · Cassie WolfeThat dance place is a professional dance studio. They value each individual dancer in their talents, pushing them to grow into the best they can be. We value that our girls can each pursue the type of dance which interests them and fits their personality and skill. Prudence to choreography and music selection based on values and age is especially appreciated. We have had nothing but excellent experiences in our years with this studio (20 for myself and 11 with my children). If you are looking for a studio to grow your child's individual technique and skills, look no further.
August 10 · Sarah SimmonsFor a first time experience at any dance studio this one sucked! Cheapest place around hands down but you get what you pay for as always. Owner is rude and has no professionalism. She doesn’t own a cellphone because of whatever her reason. Calling this place to ask questions is like trying to speak to the president.Out of all the 9 payments I only received one receipt. The studio waiting area has no mirror and it barely has any ventilation. Doors are never open to ventilate are so this place stinks. There’s not enough room for everyone to even wait when switching classes. There’s a drop off pick up mini drive through which you aren’t allowed to even park at the end because there’s always an “imaginary” persons deopping someone off and the owner and her staff will harass you to move regardless of any emergency or issue you are currently having.I will never return and took my money to another studio close home. There’s is no way to give this place any feedback and she probably don’t even care. This business should keep in mind that these parents money is what’s keeping this place open.
