★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Bought a session of intro to aerial hoop online for 4/27, and was scheduled to work on the same day. Emailed and called (3 times) several days in advance to try and cancel (per the cancel policy), but got no response. Was charged 40 dollars.Edit: Got in contact with the owner through the chat feature on the website. They were super communicative and sweet. I am excited to take a class here in the future!
May 06 · Alyssa AggarwalOn a scale of romances to documentaries, Aerial Candy is a picture book with beautiful poses.Aerial Candy operates out of Dance Exchange, and the entrance into the space is at the back of the building. There's minimal parking, and you might find parking on the street as well.I took a beginner silks class and an intermediate lyra class. It seemed like our teachers were subs, and I would have been curious to experience a class by the regular teachers (I was only passing through town).Rigging appeared safe, but it was only a cursory look as I felt comfortable with the tricks we were working in class.I greatly enjoyed the other aerialists who were welcoming and fun.
January 12 · Barbara BruttWe had a private birthday party for young kids here. The instructor Nicole was phenomenal and patient with all the kids. They all had a great time and did not want to leave.
May 17 · John ManganoMy daughter and I have been going to classes off and on for over a year, and we've both learned a lot and really enjoy our classes. I take the aerial hoop class with Sherrie, and she's fantastic. I get a good workout, but she's also very safety-conscious and helpful about finding ways to work around injuries or other limitations.
January 21 · CatherineI have been coming to Aerial Candy since May 2023 and it has been a great experience! The instructors have been very accommodating for all skill levels and body types, even when someone like me comes in with absolutely zero experience. The aerial silks and lyra classes are small which allow more personal instruction. The intro to hoop and silks classes aim to teach you the basics of these apparatuses. The Open Gym times are excellent to work on what you learned in class and hone those skills. Sherrie, Amy, and Lily are all very supportive to everyone and want their students to have fun learning the difficult aerial moves while also focusing on safely mastering the techniques. They have great instructions and will adapt the moves being taught based on the abilities of their students. Safety and learning what your body can do are big focuses here.
