★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very disappointed! I really was looking forward to learning Argentine Tango, knowing it is a difficult dance, I read many reviews to make sure I choose the right class for beginners.I attended their beginner class for several sessions, but unfortunately, the explanations were not clear...Celine was frustrated when I would ask about technique...And they kept emphasizing that if I want to learn technique, I should take private lessons.I have taken other ballroom and Latin dance lessons before and normally teachers explain the technique in the group class and you can learn without the need to take private lessons.
August 18 · Gail DevonWe’ve been taking private and group lessons with Hugo and Celina and find them to be exceptionally detailed and student focused. We really appreciate their attention to teaching the technical quality of the basic steps. They break everything down step by step making it easy to follow. They also infuse a bit of humor into the class making it fun. Their passion for tango makes them the highest caliber of instructors as well as performers. We find them very giving, warm and caring as instructors and good people. We are so thankful to Hugo and Celina for the improvement in the quality of our tango dancing.
April 02 · Joseph BohannonThis page isn't big enough for me to tell you everything about Celina and Hugo. Let me start by saying, they offered free internet dance classes 4 days a week, EVERY WEEK, through the 1st year and a half of the pandemic. This alone says so much about their HEARTS, CHARACTER, DEDICATION, PASSION and LOVE FOR OTHER PEOPLE. The classes were all well thought out with valuable easy to understand instructions and demonstrations. At the end of each month, there was a drawing and some lucky student would win either a pair of shoes or a dress by Celina.Hugo is fluent in many languages and people from all over the world came together through these free internet classes they brought during COVID - a time when people really needed to communicate and share with others while businesses were closed everywhere and people were laid off from their jobs. Hugo and Celina are so very special to us for many reasons. They live in Texas and we live in Mississippi but we travel to wherever they are in order to grow our own skills. They are absolute masters of their skills and very patient in their teaching methods. Celina's talents go way beyond her Argentine Tango skills. She is a dress designer and makes custom designed dresses, tops, pants and skirts. Believe me when I say, they are gorgeous!Below is a picture from an Argentine Tango festival that we attended where Hugo and Celina were teaching. Look at all of those happy faces after dancing with Hugo and Celina! I am so sure that everybody learned a great deal and were mesmerized by Hugo and Celina performances. I could go on and on and tell you how they were travelling to Florida and stopped at our house to give us a few private lessons and made a few other stops for students along the way. Their kindness and giving is endless. For these reasons and many, many more, we find Celina and Hugo to be amazing teachers and amazing human beings.
September 28 · Judy GWorking and learning with Celi Rotundo y Hugo Patyn has been such a fun and amazing experience! They’re always so positive and encouraging. April 03 · Nina CachanoskyHugo and Celina are awesome teachers, wonderful people, and incredible performers. You will be very lucky to have such great teachers available to you. We are part of their virtual classes as well and it is so very good to be able to study with world class teachers, regardless of whether we are in the same city. Because of virtual we have been able to consistently have classes with them for over 3 years now regardless of where we are. Nothing could be better - they have given us so much. Thank you!!
