Ayre Dance Introduce
In the vibrant and health-conscious community of Boulder, Colorado, a unique dance class stands out for its joyous approach to fitness and movement. Ayre Dance, led by the gifted instructor Juliet Seskind, is more than just a dance class; it鈥檚 an experience that combines a fantastic cardio workout with a profound sense of happiness and community. For those who are tired of conventional gym routines and are looking for a fun, creative, and accessible way to get in shape, Ayre Dance offers a refreshing alternative that leaves participants feeling energized and inspired.
The philosophy behind Ayre Dance is centered on making dance accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience level. Juliet's teaching style is noted for its creativity and ability to break down movements, ensuring that both beginners and experienced dancers feel comfortable and challenged. The class is a fusion of different dance styles, set to upbeat and fun music, which makes the workout feel less like a chore and more like a celebration. As one customer enthusiastically put it, "This dance class is super fun and it鈥檚 fantastic exercise鈥攁ll around cardio, conditioning, strength, and coordination." The class is a "whole body workout" that leaves participants "feeling so happy & high on endorphins." This emphasis on joy and positive energy is a core part of the Ayre Dance experience, and it's what keeps a dedicated community of dancers coming back for more.
Ayre Dance is held at Mi Chantli, a movement and arts sanctuary located at 1750 30th St, Boulder, CO 80301. Mi Chantli, which means "my home" in the Aztec language of Nahuatl, is a space dedicated to cultivating community and providing a home for all creatives. This venue is a perfect match for Ayre Dance's community-focused ethos. Its central location in Boulder makes it easily accessible for residents across the city and surrounding areas, including those coming from Lafayette, Louisville, and Longmont. The location in a well-known area provides straightforward navigation and is a central hub for various artistic and community-building activities.
The surrounding area's dynamic nature, with various businesses and cultural hubs, adds to the convenience. However, it is important for customers to be mindful of the shared space and the environment. One particular review highlighted a negative experience with a misunderstanding regarding privacy and space, suggesting that while the community inside the studio is a positive one, there can be communication issues or misunderstandings with those who are not part of the class. This serves as a reminder to be aware of one's surroundings when visiting any public space. Nevertheless, the overwhelming sentiment from long-time participants is about the awesome community and supportive environment within the class itself.

November 15 路 Jennifer McLemoreI was waiting outside for a dispensary order (Uber drop-off, nowhere else to stand and the dispensary was also packed toe to toe with people) when the folks inside this studio suddenly closed their curtains like I was there to watch them. Newsflash: no one is lining up to voyeur your warm-up stretches. The paranoia was so bizarre I honestly laughed. If you want people to think you鈥檙e graceful, maybe start with your attitude, not your dance moves.
August 24 路 Lillian OrozcoJuliet rocks! She has a spirited and loving attitude that is contagious. She has a repertoire of choreography that's always refreshing and fun. Each Ayre class is not only great exercise, it's an hour full of smiles and laughter. The "Ayrehead" community is a group of enthusiastic folks of all ages who come together to celebrate the joy of dancing. Juliet is our compassionate and fun-loving leader.
November 22 路 Debra A. JasonAyre is awesome! The format of the class allows you to really sink in and enjoy dancing while getting a great cardio workout. Juliet鈥檚 choreography is a wonderful mix of many styles of dance, and her energy is so fun and uplifting. I found myself smiling almost the whole time, and the class flew by because I was enjoying myself so much. I love getting a good workout that feels more like fun than work. Ayre is a perfect way to express yourself through dance while also getting an amazing workout, and Juliet is an excellent teacher.
September 02 路 cactuskickerI had my first class at Ayre Dance last Saturday. What Fun!!! Juliet led an energized and fun cardio dance. I was surprised by a Bali theme where everyone was given scarfs to celebrate Juliet's Birthday! Since it was my first time, I was especially grateful for warm and welcoming greetings by many of the dancers. Juliet also made sure I was acknowledged and enjoyed the class. Ayre dance will definitely be on my list of go to cardio workouts!
