February 23 · Rachel WI recently attended a 15th birthday party at Barbara's Dance Studio, and it was an absolute disaster. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed and frustrated I am with the entire experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the studio, it became apparent that this place was far from the ideal party venue.First and foremost, the air conditioning was completely non-functional. In the scorching summer heat, the lack of a working AC system turned the studio into a sweltering inferno. The suffocating and uncomfortable atmosphere made it nearly impossible to enjoy the party or engage in any physical activities. It's shocking that the owner, Barbara herself, would neglect such a fundamental aspect of a dance studio. To make matters worse, the restroom lights were also malfunctioning. Imagine trying to navigate a dimly lit restroom, stumbling around in the dark, and attempting to perform basic hygiene tasks. It was not only inconvenient but also a safety hazard. The lack of attention to such basic facilities is inexcusable and demonstrates a severe lack of maintenance and care.Speaking of the owner, Barbara's attitude and demeanor were nothing short of despicable. Despite the obvious discomfort and complaints from the guests, she seemed entirely disinterested and dismissive. It was abundantly clear that she prioritized her own convenience and profits over the satisfaction and well-being of her customers. This kind of despotic behavior is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the studio.Overall, my experience at Barbara's Dance Studio was nothing short of a nightmare. The complete lack of a functioning air conditioning system and the poorly maintained restroom facilities created an uncomfortable and frustrating environment for everyone in attendance. Add to that the owner's apathetic attitude, and you have a recipe for disaster. I would strongly advise anyone considering this venue for an event or dance class to steer clear and find a more reputable and customer-oriented establishment. Barbara's Dance Studio has proven itself to be unworthy of anyone's time, money, or trust.
June 26 · Ruby VizuetI tried an ATS belly dancing class with Four Moons Tribal tonight at Barbara’s and it was great. The studio has lots of wide open space.
January 04 · Tina LeeDo not take your business to this place.I had my brothers repass there. The place has three space that can be rented. I rented the biggest space that takes up to 130 pleas, which I was told by the owner Barbara. She rents it for 1200 a day which didn’t not include tables only chairs. The day of my event I only had 84 chairs and I was expecting at least 120 guest. When I spoke to the owner about the issue of the chair she said that there is nothing she could do about because she rented the other space and the other party will be using the rest of the chair. I express to her that she should have told me prior so then I will know that I am not going to have enough chair for my guest, so she told me that to make up for the chairs she will return a 100 back to me when I return the key. The day I returned the key, she only gave me back 50. So I told her I thought we agree that I will be receiving a 100 back, she gave me all the excuses she can could come up with. On top of that she had her grand daughter there talk crazy to me thinking she is going to scare me.Over all she promises things to her clients and does follow throw. She care more about the money then what her clients want or expect. The place was dirty, the supposed kitchen are is dirty, the bathroom is filthy, and I had to clean the bathroom myself the day of my event, because it was so dirty and smelled like urine, and that’s both bathrooms. The place is not worth it.
April 24 · Flora ZachariahBarbara's is really a down home, not snooty, dance studio. The cost for beginner is only $10. Really a bargain. Other places charge $75 a lesson which is waaaay too much money. Donna who taught me was very sweet and really knows her dances. They have serveral floors and have dance parties for everyone to go and meet and practice and have fun. Really a great place to go.You need to try Barbara's and you will return. I cannot wait to go next Monday...... FYI. I am such a rookie and I felt right at home here.
