★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Nutcracker was so beautiful and colorful with amazing ballet. The sets were enchanting and made you feel a part of the story. The orchestra's Tchaikovsky music was superb and the unsung heroes of the night. My favorite was the soloist and the ballerinas with their magnificent display of Waltz of the Flowers. They were all magnificent really, just a particular favorite of mine. And the costume designer...Que Bella! No photos but a closed curtain to respect the wishes of the Colorado Ballet.
December 13 · The WWII ProfessorTop choice in Denver. Professional staff, well equipped classrooms, real ballet curriculum. Our child learnt more in 4 months than during 2 years at another location. Very cool in house black box theater with all the amenities one would expect: professional lighting, flooring, draping, seats, acoustics. Highly recommend.
January 11 · Sonja LucicI can't recommend the academy and pre professional program here highly enough! It's a warm nurturing environment that also brings out the absolute best in the students. They care about the students' mental and physical health. One of a kind!
February 27 · Robin DickinsonAs the parent of a pre-professional dancer who trained for nine years in a number of well-reputed studios in the Denver Metro area, I wish we had started at Colorado Ballet on day one. The whole-child focus and healthy mindset are extraordinary. Not only do the instructors have amazing resumes and provide superb instruction, but they do so in a supportive way that brings out the best in children and young adults. They have high expectations in a nurturing atmosphere so that each dancer can find a program that fits their desire for recreational or professional-level training. While every staff person and instructor is top notch, Erica Fischbach is truly a gift to humanity.
January 30 · Kara MartinGreat ballet company in Colorado. As someone who loves ballet but has only seen the Nutcracker several times, I was happy to learn upon moving to Denver that they have a ballet company which every year comes out with a full season comprised of classics as well as new works.I first saw the company perform at the Arvada Center for their "Evening Under the Stars" in which they danced selections from past seasons as well as some teasers from the current season. I finally got the chance to see a full performance when I went to see Alice in Wonderland at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Amazing show, funny and entertaining while also displaying the amazing talent and athleticism of the dancers. The sets were very creative and the orchestra was great too. It was great show for both adults and kids and I am not surprised to learn the performances were sold out. Now I can't wait to catch Swan Lake for next season!
