When it comes to choosing a dance school in Colorado, the Colorado Conservatory of Dance offers a compelling combination of professional training and a nurturing community that is hard to find elsewhere. The glowing testimonials from parents highlight this exact benefit, with one parent noting that this was "what my kids were looking for" and that the productions were of a "top caliber."
The commitment of the new leadership and faculty is another major factor. Colorado Conservatory of Dance Reviews
The new lead at CCD( Sandra Parks since 2023) is phenomenal and progressive. My three daughters have been dancing here for several years and the last two years with Sandra have been incredible. The school focuses on performances and stage presence and not on competitive dance which is what my kids were looking for. Some of these productions are as top caliber as collegiate shows I saw at University of PA. There is a lot of love, laughter, nuttiness and grit amongst these families who do help keep this non-profit afloat. The faculty are invested, creative, and committed to these young kids and I’m so lucky to have found this place in the middle of the pandemic.
December 28 · Annie EngelmannMy two girls have been dancing here for the last six years. The new director (Sandra) is amazing and has brought so much focus and positive culture to the studio. The training is well rounded, instructors are top notch and kind. Classes are small and my girls get a lot out of them.
January 26 · Lynsi CMy daughter has been dancing at Colorado Conservatory of Dance for 12 years. The dance instruction is excellent. The ballet training is really top notch and there are a wide variety of other dance classes to choose from. She has also learned about her body (I am amazed by all the bones she can name!) and how to safely move her body. As a parent, I am so thankful that we found a dance studio that truly cares about the dancers as individuals and cares about their well being.
August 05 · Shannon ScholtesMy daughter has been dancing at Colorado Conservatory of Dance for the past nine years. I cannot say enough good things about this studio. They have wonderful teachers who teach her the techniques of classical ballet and the art of the dance. Not only do they teach their students how to be a good dancer, they also teach them how to be good citizens. The dancers there have opportunities to experience the professional side of the dance and have outstanding choreographers, teachers and coaches. In my opinion CCD is the finest ballet studio available in this area!
August 27 · Jennifer SterlingI would have gave this studio more stars but when my daughter did dance there they bullied her. She was not the thinnest girl and not white. But the kids bullied her. The teachers bullied her. Ms. Julia constantly told us our daughter was to fat and needed to go on a diet. They held her back from pointe yet there were girls thicker than my daughter. There was another dark skinned little girl who was picked on because she is Hispanic her grandmother pulled her because all if the bulling her granddaughter dealt with. It's just sickening up there. Ask your kids make sure they are not being bullied. As parents make sure they are not telling you negative things about your kids because that is also bulling.
