I enjoy her bright energy, ability to meet her clients’ needs and to also modify some moves for those of us with some mobility issues as needed. I recently started Reformer sessions too and have enjoyed the 1:1 time working on some of my strength and agility goals. In addition to attending classes or sessions a few times weekly, my 17 year old daughter also enjoys coming to Julia’s studio too and is welcomed and challenged as a young athlete and dancer. We continue to look forward to growing in strength, focus, agility and mobility all with a welcoming smile and sometimes a good giggle with Julia at Making Moves.
April 08 · Emily CallFabulous boutique Fitness Studio! Smaller class sizes give you the attention of a personal training session while still enjoying the community of a group class. Instructor Julia's energy and good-natured humor make it fun to get fit. Classes are invigorating but she is very sensitive to individual fitness levels and needs. Classes are designed to promote health and vitality without injury. The wide variety of class formats makes it easy to practice a favorite or try something totally new, no matter what shape you're in. I highly recommend Making Moves!

From Pilates to more general fitness classes you will not be bored, you will be challenged, and, most importantly, you will be instructed/lead with care and expertise. Owner and instructor, Julia, is knowledgeable, warm, and fun! I have multiple injuries and a chronic illness that affects my movement practice. Julia has helped me in numerous ways from rebuilding important foundations through Pilates to challenging me to engage my body in ways I never thought possible!
