Metro Gymnastics Center Introduce
For families across the Portland Metropolitan area and throughout Oregon, finding a high-quality, comprehensive facility focused on youth athletic development is key to nurturing healthy habits and confidence. The Metro Gymnastics Center, located in Tigard, stands out as a premier destination that has been serving the community since 1990. It is much more than just a typical sports complex; it operates as a dedicated training ground where children, from toddlers to advanced competitors, can build essential life skills through movement.
Metro Gymnastics Center is rooted in the philosophy of building the right foundation. Their structured, progressive curriculum is designed to help young Oregonians ages 18 months through their competitive years develop and continually improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and, most importantly, self-esteem. The environment is consistently praised by local parents for being safe, fun, and led by knowledgeable, patient teachers. This commitment to a positive and healthy atmosphere is fundamental to their approach, ensuring that every child feels celebrated and encouraged to reach their highest potential both inside and outside the gymnasium.
The center’s longevity in the Tigard community is a testament to the quality of their programs and leadership. David Klein, the President since its inception, has dedicated over four decades to teaching gymnastics, and his passion for children’s development is evident in the caring and visionary approach of the entire facility. Whether a family is looking for a fun 45-minute toddler class to introduce basic motor skills or a rigorous competitive team program, Metro Gymnastics provides a pathway for every stage of a child's athletic growth.
Beyond core classes, the facility is highly regarded for its stress-free event hosting. Customer reviews consistently highlight the exceptional organization of their Gymnastics Birthday Parties. Hosts, like the lauded Spencer, run the events "like a pro," ensuring that the kids have a blast with activities like obstacle courses and trampoline time, while parents can relax without worrying about setup or cleanup. This attention to detail and customer service ensures that the center provides not only top-tier athletic instruction but also memorable community experiences.
The variety of offerings, from Toddler Gymnastics and Dance Classes to competitive training for both boys and girls, establishes Metro Gymnastics Center as a true hub for youth activity in the Tigard and greater Oregon region.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our daughter is taking an acro/jazz class with Lilly at Metro and absolutely loving it. So much, that she wanted her birthday party there. We were so impressed with the party set-up!! Spencer was our host and he ran the show like a pro! The kids had a blast with many gym activities and later when it was time for food, Spencer served each guest, treating them as queens. It was organized and stress free for us. Highly recommend!!
September 28 · Kelly NyeI am continually impressed by the knowledgeable and patient teachers here. They made it a safe and fun environment with structured curriculum and excellent class management. Small class sizes. We've tired other gymnastics facilities and this one is by far my favorite. Both my kids take classes, we started with the youngest age group a few years ago. The office manager is amazing.
July 26 · Sara KeckMetro Gymnastics Center is the best child activity center in the Tualatin area. 3rd Level Consulting Group recommends Metro Gymnastics center based on our decades of working with children's education, entertainment, arts and sports instruction programs in multiple industries and counties, we are confident in our recommendation.
September 24 · Jennifer AyarsMy kids really appreciate their time at MGC doing Tiny Jazz and Gymnastics. It's one of the few extracurricular activities they never fight us on.Great facility for both activities and a lovely place to hand and work while kiddos are occupied.I'm grateful for what they do for the community.
June 10 · Cyrus Radfar (Cy)I have two girls at Metro for summer classes. My youngest (4) has been kind of iffy has far as participating as she is very shy and quiet. However, Hunter is beyond kind and was able to get my baby up and moving and had her best day at gymnastics yet. I couldn’t say more about his work with the little kids, his upbeat personality, and the fun games he plays with them to get them feeling comfortable. Thank you, Hunter!!
