Mi Chantli Introduce
In the heart of Boulder, Colorado, Mi Chantli stands as a unique and vital community center—a sanctuary for movement, art, and creative expression. The name itself, "Mi Chantli," is derived from the Aztec word for "home," and this philosophy is at the very core of its mission. The message is simple yet profound: "Mi Chantli es tu Chantli," or "My home is your home." This welcoming and inclusive ethos has made it a beloved destination for artists, dancers, poets, and individuals from all walks of life across the Front Range. While some newer visitors may have experienced minor organizational challenges, long-time community members speak to the strong, supportive, and family-like atmosphere that defines the space.
Mi Chantli is more than just a dance studio; it is a creative ecosystem where diverse art forms intersect and thrive. It is a BIPOC-owned and operated establishment dedicated to cultivating community and providing a safe, healthy, and supportive place for belonging. This mission is particularly urgent for Boulder’s teen community and for marginalized populations who seek a space where they can be their authentic selves. The center is a powerful force for social justice and positive change, using art as a vessel to foster self-acceptance and respect. For those in Colorado looking for a place that not only offers quality instruction but also stands for strong community values, Mi Chantli is a compelling choice.

Mi Chantli Reviews
I am continuously disappointed by the disorganization of this establishment. After other disappointing experiences, I show up for class today to a look of surprise from the front desk person. They ask ME if the class I am showing up for is running, tell me maybe it’s not and to wait around to find out. Others showed up, some were greeted and told to wait, others just had to wander into the dark studio to ask other students what is going on. Turns out, no class although there was no cancellation online. I have no qualms about the quality of the teachers here, but I will unfortunately not be returning to take class here. It’s not worth my time to drive 30 minutes each way to maybe take class.
June 28 · Katarina LottI love the Block! I am a beginner at any type of dance. The people at The Block have been so supportive and friendly about my dubious beginning “dancing”. Something that is also important to me is that all people are welcome and treated as such at any activity I engage in. I feel a strong connection with The Block in that they stand with those same ideals. It’s also huge fun to watch and dance with such incredible talent. The instructors are top notch in their own dancing.
October 14 · Eric ToppenLove the block!! Was brought by a friend to try a breakdance class back in December and it was amazing! Brought new challenges, new friends to new adventures and honestly a whole new life. I know Block life is a tight family who just loves to dance and spread the love that comes with that.
June 09 · Rachel DomingoBlock 1750 is the first place I recommend to anyone who asks me where to find good danceclasses in Colorado. Hands down. It is. I can’t find a better place. Not only will you find a plethora of great classes, but you find yourself in the middle of a giant family welcoming you with open arms. From contemporary to breaking, freestyle sessions and cultural events- The Block is one of the foundations in our community! No egos, no attitude... all positivity and support, no matter where you come from or how long you have been a dancer.Sometimes it’s intimidating to go to a new place or try something new, but trust me... it’s not intimidating here. The second you walk in, someone will welcome you in like you’ve been a lifelong friend. The instructors are all masters of their craft and lead with positivity - so no matter what... at the end of the day... the class is FUN. Because that’s what dance should be, right?Nothing but love for my blockheads!!!!
June 10 · Christa LewEverything about this place is HEALTH, EXPRESSION & CREATIVITY. Not only does my daughter dance here. I pay for individual sessions with their teachers just for her to spend 1/1 time with them. Their teachers are caring, evolved, thoughtful &&& DEEP. Their movement is ART & MEDITATION. They truly embody COMMUNITY & THE ARTS.
