Selenite Studio Aerial Arts - South Introduce
Selenite Studio Aerial Arts - South, nestled in Littleton, Colorado, is far more than a typical fitness center. It is a vibrant community hub dedicated to the empowering and artistic world of aerial arts and dance. This studio provides a safe, welcoming, and magical space where individuals can explore a variety of disciplines, including pole, aerial silks, Lyra, burlesque, and yoga. The mission is simple yet powerful: to create a space for community, inclusivity, and empowerment through movement. For locals in the Denver metro area, Selenite Studio offers a unique and exciting alternative to traditional workouts, focusing on self-expression, strength, and confidence building in a supportive environment.
The studio's appeal lies in its commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere for every person who walks through its doors. A long-time student praises the "empowering and welcoming" community, highlighting that the instructors bring "something unique to the table" and build their students up. This sentiment is a cornerstone of the Selenite experience. The variety of classes is designed to cater to all levels, from those just starting their aerial journey to more experienced dancers. Beyond the physical benefits of strength and flexibility, Selenite Studio emphasizes the powerful healing qualities of movement, making it a space where students can not only challenge their bodies but also connect with their inner selves and find a sense of belonging.
However, it is important to provide a complete picture of a business, which includes a balanced view of customer experiences. While many people have found Selenite Studio to be a magical and supportive place, others have raised serious concerns about its practices and alignment with its stated values. One low-rated review from a former student expresses deep disappointment, citing what they describe as "problematic and harmful behavior" from the owner. This review mentions issues with accessibility for disabled individuals, the handling of refunds for class passes, and a perceived disparity between the studio's public message of inclusivity and its actions behind closed doors. This feedback, while a contrast to the positive reviews, underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in a business that markets itself as a safe and progressive space. It is essential for potential clients to consider all aspects of a business's reputation and decide for themselves if it aligns with their personal values.

Selenite Studio Aerial Arts - South Reviews
This place has become such a big part of my life. I have been pole dancing for a little over a year here, but I started taking their aerial silks classes about two years ago. The community is so empowering and welcoming. The instructors all bring something unique to the table. Getting the unlimited annual pass was one of the best choices I’ve made. It’s such a magical place to dance. Thank you to Nico, Whitney, and all of the incredible instructors who build their students up. 🥰❤️🔥
August 22 · M PojarAfter going to Selenite since 2022 I am so disappointed to change my high review to a low one.I have witnessed the owner of Selenite display increasingly problematic and harmful behavior in the last 2-4 months, including a mirage of microagressions to POC, becoming extremely defensive in response to feedback from the community, and stonewalling/making feedback opportunities inaccessible for disabled folks. As someone who has become physically disabled and is a trans person, Selenite has always preached being a place for EVERY BODY. But I guess they only mean if you are physically well enough to provide feedback in person.Disabled people already face so many barriers everyday. To make matters worse, when I sought a refund for a class pass from Selenite because I am on FMLA medical leave, I was denied. I know other folks have received refunds for class packs after becoming injured. I was also denied a refund and a workshop THE OWNER CANCELED herself and never rescheduled.Selenite markets values like inclusivity and community support but doesn’t stand on them. Behind closed doors, Selenite is actively causing harm against trans disabled folks and POC.EDIT: After posting my experience with Selenite on social media, my account was maliciously reported. Using tactics like this to silence marginalized people from sharing their experiences is disgusting and further antithetical to everything the business claims to stand for. The owner also claims to be a practicing social worker in Colorado but has no active license and marketed Selenite as a progressive business while apparently partnering with a “very powerful, very wealthy, very conservative family.” How long did the owner remain complicit with this family while taking money from black, queer trans folks under the guise of a “highly political and progressive business.”
August 06 · ASelenite has become a second home. Every class I take, I walk out feeling more confident, empowered, and strong. The space at all three locations is so intimate and welcoming. I started pole fitness to try something new and different, and I fell in love instantly.Every instructor here has always taken the time to give me individual guidance during classes- you don’t get lost in a big group like I’ve felt sometimes at other studios. Not to mention the community of women I’ve met through Selenite opened doors to friendships I’ve been longing for my whole life.12/10 recommend taking a class or 10 here if you’ve been curious about pole & aerial fitness
March 20 · Bekah ZThese Lyra classes are so fun and motivating! Great to learn sequences in a positive and patient environment. The energy is uplifting, everyone I’ve met in class is nice and Charmagne, the instructor is amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back!
July 26 · Krystyl MaksomWelcoming and Supportive StudioI've met so many amazing people since I started taking pole classes 9 months ago. Everyone is friendly and wants to see you succeed. I've tried my fair share of pole studios and I keep coming back to this one again and again.
