Conveniently situated at 800 Lake Washington Blvd, Seattle, WA 98122, Spectrum Dance Theater boasts an idyllic and easily accessible location. Its proximity to the stunning Lake Washington provides a beautiful backdrop for a performing arts center, and the surrounding area is a pleasure to visit. For those traveling by car, one of the most significant advantages is the "free, abundant parking" available, a rarity in many parts of Seattle. This makes it hassle-free for both students and audience members to attend classes, rehearsals, or performances without the added stress of finding a parking spot.
The facility is also committed to accessibility for all members of the community. It features a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that everyone can easily access the building and its programs. This dedication to making dance and the performing arts available to a broader audience is a testament to the theater's inclusive mission. While the building is open to the public, it's worth noting, as one reviewer pointed out, that some public restrooms might be locked. However, other publicly accessible restrooms are located nearby in the next structure, ensuring convenience for visitors.

March 25 · M KFYI the restroom doors facing the waterfront are locked to the public. Continue walking north toward the next structure. Those restrooms are open for the public.
February 16 · E MI go there and it is so good! The teachers are so nice and they have so many different styles of dance, that you can learn. I’ve been going there for six years now and the people are so nice and the teachers are really helpful if you don’t know how to do something I 100% recommended it!
January 11 · Nora For SchoolAn institution in Seattle for as long as I've lived here. I've known a whole generation of dancers who owe those interest and love of dance to this institution. Their community is deep and wide spread in the Seattle area and they have garnered the respect they deserve. Their community outreach had had a profound effect on both of my daughters.
August 06 · James PhilpottTop notch dance with TRUE integrity, honesty, and cause for self reflection; which is why the company's work often time is met with discomfort. No one leaves the theater after one of these performances feeling nothing. Discussion usually follows long after the show is done. The technical prowess of all of Donald Byrd's dancers at SDT can rival any high profile contemporary company out there.
