Studio One in Madison Heights, Michigan, has established itself as exactly that: a community hub dedicated to accessible and transformative yoga practice. It’s more than just a place to stretch; it's a welcoming environment where students of all ages, skill levels, and physical abilities are encouraged to explore the deep connection between body, mind, and spirit.
The philosophy at Studio One centers around the belief that yoga is truly for everyone, regardless of whether you can touch your toes or even know what the term "yogi" means. This inclusive, judgment-free approach is what sets it apart in the often overwhelming Michigan wellness scene. Instructors focus on helping each person overcome perceived physical and mental limitations, ensuring that every student leaves class feeling significantly better and more grounded than when they first arrived.
A major highlight consistently celebrated by local Michigan practitioners is the dedication of the staff, particularly a noted instructor named Jessica. Customers hail her as "an amazing instructor" and, unequivocally, the "best instructor I have ever worked with" across multiple yoga studios. This personalized, expert-led guidance is a critical component of the Studio One experience, especially valued in a busy Metro Detroit setting where quality personal attention can be rare. The commitment to maintaining small class sizes means more quality time spent with students, allowing for individualized adjustments and detailed instruction, which is invaluable for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
Beyond its core yoga offerings, the facility operates within a space that accommodates a wider range of movement and art forms. While primarily known for its yoga, the possibility of other offerings, such as dance classes—as mentioned by curious local reviewers—suggests a versatile location contributing to the broader physical arts community of Madison Heights and the surrounding areas. What is Worth Choosing Studio One
For Michigan locals, choosing Studio One in Madison Heights is an investment in a sustainable, high-quality, and deeply supportive wellness practice. It is worth choosing for three primary reasons that set it apart from larger, impersonal fitness centers.
First, the core of the Studio One experience is its exceptional instruction. The consistent praise for Jessica and the entire team confirms that this is a place where teachers truly care and possess the expertise to guide all levels effectively. Unlike studios where an instructor might just lead a class, at Studio One, they "take the time to guide you through everything," making a tangible difference in the safety and effectiveness of a student’s practice. This is the difference between simply going through poses and actually transforming your relationship with your body.
Second, the studio actively fosters an inclusive and non-competitive atmosphere, which is vital for maintaining a consistent yoga practice. The down-to-earth nature ensures that everyone feels welcome, particularly beginners who might feel intimidated at other, more intense studios. The encouragement to "let go of judgement and competition" and focus on personal growth creates a positive energy that is essential for long-term emotional and physical benefits.
Third, the business model is built around accessibility, both in terms of physical features (wheelchair accessible restroom) and financial feasibility. The "beyond reasonable" rates and diverse pricing options, from single classes to monthly unlimited plans, mean that a dedicated yoga practice doesn't have to break the bank. Studio One offers Michiganders a high-value opportunity to commit to their health in a friendly, expert-led environment right in the heart of Madison Heights.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love this studio. Jessica is an amazing instructor. Class size is small so she spend more quality time with the students. Currently only taking yoga classes but I think they offer dance classes as well. Will look into them!
February 12 · Qui NguyenThis is the place for yoga!!!...I have been to other yoga studios before Studio One, and Jessica has been without a doubt the best instructor I have ever worked with. Her rates are beyond reasonable, and she will take the time to guide you through everything she throws at you. Beginners are welcomed....check this place out!!!
March 26 · Kevin NolanI love Studio One. Been here for three classes so far. Bought a really affordable package and have enjoyed each class. Jessica instructed one class that I attended and was great. All of my other classes have been instructed by Kory. Kory challenges each yogi to push themselves to their edge, while also kindly correcting poses so you get the most from your stretch. Both instructors are amazing and really care about your experience. They are personable and helpful. I'll definitely continue to do yoga here.
February 09 · BreaThis studio is not only exactly what I was looking for as a beginner, but Jessica(the instructor)was able to guide me along my journey of healing. The classes are the perfect size and the price is right! It’s a treat to have someone as kind as they are professional at the front of the class and Jessica @ Studio One provides that with every class I’ve attended.
September 25 · Donavan AllenPeople of any ability level will enjoy the class. Jessica is aware and responsive in guiding the exercises. For each move, she provides a harder and easier way to achieve the goal of the exercise. The environment is relaxed, and people are friendly. Big fan, love this place!
