The Dance Station Reviews
Within the first month of her being at this studio the dance teacher asked her if she was on medication and that she felt that she had anxiety issues (never mind you she never expressed her concerns to me but my 9 year old, making her feel all types of ways) Falynn told me this a few weeks after it happened I talked to her about it and kind of brushed it off which I know I shouldn’t have- comments here and there were made off and on to Her that I found inappropriate through the fall session such as negative remarks about the pink in her hair and “I can see why you were in a baby class at your last studio “ so I decided to say something to her about my concerns and how she talks to my kid and how I felt it was inappropriate. I thought we were clear and this was resolved. So recently again she decided to again, let Falynn know that she think she needs to be on medication for her anxiety and probably counseling and that her son is on medication and it is okay, she also singled her out in front off the class and made her do a handstand to worm move in front of everyone repeatedly until she was crying- this was the end for Falynn . (Which I understand teaching them but because of the past issues I feel like this was intentional) the comment also to her was made how she can’t have fun with Falynn and that she can’t say anything to her because she will just go tell her mom - which isn’t true actually I have asked and had to her it out of her. Falynns dad spoke with her and he said she was not very nice or sympathetic about the situation and what she had said to Falynn again.Falynn told me Friday she wanted to quit dance. QUIT, and honestly I cried because I never thought I would hear that from her, and I’m just upset that a TEACHER could ruin this for a kid and take the fun from them . I asked her for a refund on the fees I paid for recital which totaled to $180 (no contract signed or anything either ) which was the least she could do given the things she has said to my kid and she sent me a check in the mail today for $36 LOL - I know Falynn is not the only kid because I have heard of others complain about her excessive yelling. They’re kids and this studio is nothing serious , let them have fun.!
