Adelante Studios Introduce
For individuals, independent instructors, and creative professionals across New York City, finding an affordable, spacious, and conveniently located studio rental space is paramount. Adelante Studios, situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, has established itself as a versatile, multi-purpose facility designed to accommodate a wide array of activities, including—but not limited to—yoga, dance, fitness classes, photography, and video production.
While some people may initially seek out "Adelante Studios" for a dedicated yoga studio experience, its core business model operates as a rental facility. This means it provides the high-quality, blank-slate spaces—featuring details like true wood floors, high ceilings, and natural light—that are ideal for instructors and companies to host their own classes, including yoga, Pilates, and various dance forms. This model caters to the dynamic nature of New York's fitness and arts scene, offering flexible, hourly, and daily bookings rather than a fixed schedule of classes run by the studio itself.
The facility’s reputation in the New York market is built on its Midtown location and the quality of its loft spaces. However, prospective renters, especially those booking one-off or shorter sessions, should be aware of the studio’s priority given to long-term and high-value bookings. The New York studio rental market is highly competitive, and Adelante Studios, like many others, optimizes for maximum occupancy and revenue, sometimes requiring short-notice changes to existing bookings, as noted in customer feedback. Therefore, when securing space for a yoga workshop, dance rehearsal, or photo shoot, New York-based planners are advised to consider the flexibility of their schedule and perhaps have a backup plan for peace of mind in this busy NYC environment.
Introduction / Overview
Adelante Studios is a prominent, multi-functional rental facility located in the bustling Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Operating out of a spacious 4,500 square foot loft, the studio provides numerous individual spaces suitable for a diverse clientele. While the name often appears in searches for "yoga studio," its primary role is to serve as a flexible, well-equipped venue for independent instructors, dance companies, photographers, and event organizers.
The studios are built for movement and creativity. They feature essential amenities for physical fitness programs, including true wood floors, music systems, and air conditioning, making them perfect venues for hosting recurring yoga classes, intensive dance rehearsals, fitness training sessions, and workshops. The studio's strategic location near Herald Square places it within easy reach of virtually all of New York City, appealing to the professional artist and the local wellness enthusiast alike.
Its business centers on providing flexible space solutions for the demanding New York schedule. Clients rent the spaces on an hourly or daily basis to conduct their own business, whether that is a specialized Zumba or Salsa class, a private meditation session, or a professional photo/video shoot. This versatility is what makes Adelante a vital component of the city's creative infrastructure.
Location and Accessibility
Adelante Studios boasts a premier, highly convenient location in the heart of Manhattan, making it an excellent option for New Yorkers relying on the extensive public transit system.
The precise location is:
25 W 31st St 2 Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA
This address is situated on West 31st Street, placing it in the popular Midtown South area, a short walk from major transportation hubs like Penn Station and Herald Square. This strategic positioning gives the studios a perfect Walk Score and Transit Score—a "Walker's Paradise" and "Rider's Paradise"—ensuring maximum accessibility for clients, students, and models coming from all five boroughs of New York City and beyond.
The building, which houses the studios on the 2nd Floor, is typically equipped with a central heating system and Air Conditioning, which is vital for a comfortable workout or shoot, regardless of the harsh New York weather. Given the multi-story nature of Manhattan buildings, the facility's location on the 2nd floor, and the fact that it is housed in a commercial office building, suggests typical Manhattan accessibility. Prospective clients should confirm the availability of an operational elevator for transport of heavy equipment or for individuals with mobility challenges, as "Wheelchair Accessible" is a feature noted for the larger building.
Services Offered
Adelante Studios provides rental services, specializing in providing fully equipped, versatile loft spaces for various professional and group activities. It acts as a venue, not a class provider, for the following services:
- Studio Space Rental: Hourly, daily, or long-term rental of various sized studio rooms for rehearsals, classes, and events. Studio sizes range from intimate rehearsal spaces to large, combined lofts (up to 2,000 sq ft).
- Dance and Fitness Class Hosting: The primary use is for independent instructors to host their own recurring or one-time classes, including yoga, Zumba, ballroom, salsa, tango, and general fitness/aerobics.
- Photography and Video Shoots: Offering spacious, naturally lit lofts perfect for fashion shoots, music videos, castings, and commercial photography. The large, open spaces and high ceilings are highly valued by NYC production teams.
- Event and Workshop Venue: Renting out space for corporate events, fashion shows, casting calls, workshops, and private parties.
- Specialized Fitness Equipment Access: Provision of equipment like a Peloton bike, a Concept2 rowing erg, and a Stiga table tennis table for use, often included with membership or offered as add-ons.
- Photo/Video Equipment Rentals: Available add-ons often include lighting equipment (like Profoto strobes) and seamless backdrops to facilitate professional production shoots without the need to transport heavy gear across New York.
Features / Highlights
The key highlights of Adelante Studios center on the high quality of the physical space and the flexibility it offers the diverse New York market.
- Prime Midtown Manhattan Location: Unbeatable accessibility in the 10001 ZIP code, close to major transit (Penn Station, Herald Square), making it easy for people from all boroughs to attend.
- Versatile Loft Spaces: The facility is a 4,500 sq ft loft, which can be configured into multiple studio sizes, from small, private rehearsal rooms to expansive, combined studios (up to 2,000 sq ft) for large events or classes.
- High-Quality Interiors: Studios feature high ceilings (up to 12'), true wooden floors (ideal for dance and yoga), mirrored walls, and south-facing windows for excellent natural light—a premium feature in the city.
- Dedicated Fitness and Dance Amenities: Each space includes music systems and is climate-controlled with Air Conditioning, ensuring a comfortable environment for high-intensity activity.
- Photo and Video Shoot Ready: The availability of professional add-ons like Profoto strobes and seamless setups makes it a turn-key solution for Manhattan-based production teams.
- Flexible Booking Options: The model allows for hourly rental, appealing to the need for flexibility among New York's independent instructors and small businesses.
However, potential clients should note the importance of clearly confirming all booking details in writing, as customer reviews indicate that the studio prioritizes longer, full-floor bookings, and management communication regarding capacity limits and payments can sometimes be challenging. This is an important consideration when planning time-sensitive projects in the intense New York environment.

What is Worth Choosing
Adelante Studios is an invaluable resource for the New York City dance, yoga, and creative industries primarily because of the superior quality and flexibility of its physical space in a critical Manhattan location. The sheer size of the 4,500 square foot loft, coupled with high ceilings and beautiful natural light, is a major asset that is difficult to find at an affordable rate in Midtown. If you are an independent yoga instructor needing a professional space for a recurring class, a dance company requiring a fully-equipped rehearsal room, or a photographer seeking a spacious studio with available lighting gear, the physical attributes of Adelante are perfectly suited to the demands of the New York market.
The ability to rent spaces in different configurations, from small rehearsal nooks to a 2,000 sq ft mega-studio, means the facility can scale to meet almost any need, from a private Pilates session to a large corporate event. Furthermore, the inclusion of fitness equipment like a Peloton and rowing erg adds unexpected value for renters or members seeking a quick personal workout.
In short, the choice to book with Adelante Studios is a choice for prime Manhattan location, professional-grade amenities, and scalable space. While clients should proactively communicate and confirm all booking details to mitigate potential issues noted in past reviews—especially concerning capacity limits and the possibility of cancellation for a larger-value booking—for the New York professional who requires a high-quality, flexible, and geographically accessible venue for their creative or fitness business, Adelante Studios offers a compelling and essential solution.

Adelante Studios Reviews
Had a booking paid for 2 months in advance. 10 days prior they said they could no longer honor our booking because someone wanted to rent the space for a full month. We had to scramble to find a replacement. They said..and I quote, " What would you do in our shoes? Say no to a 5 week booking of our full floor to maintain a 5 hour booking of one shoot space?" So book with them, but have a back up in case they get a better offer...
February 14 · Kimberly SmithI was a hair model for a photo shoot at this studio on 11/20/2016 and arrived at 12:40 pm for a 1 pm start since my call sheet read arrive by 12:45 pm. The place was jam packed with a group of Asian men, women and children (some in strollers), maybe 50 people.I inquired of the older man handling the bookings about where to wait and he said to sit in the lobby, although there was no lobby. Later an orange sofa and a chair were brought from a closed room into what I became the lobby area. I waited there with people from the music video shoot. The large group filed out as others arrived for our hair shoot as well as a music video shoot.By 1 pm the studio had cleared out with the exception of the people waiting for the hair shoot and the music video. The music video group ended up leaving since they couldn't shoot at the same time as the hair model shoot. The huge space was vacant with the exception of the people at my shoot, 2 stylists, the photographer, 2 makeup artists and models. We were in studio 3, across from the bathrooms on the second floor. The man running the bookings came over to tell the stylists that the booking was for only 9 people so someone had to leave. They asked about paying for an extra person and he wasn't receptive. I wasn't needed until 2 pm so I was asked to leave.I came back later and while I was having my hair styled, the guy came back over to make a scene about another model who arrived (around 3 pm) making the count at 10. The 2 stylists who booked the studio walked over to the reception area to speak with him and he was loud and rude. I heard him asked "is she empowered to speak" since one stylist had been doing all of the talking. I later heard him say "I don't think you understand math" after they offered, again, to pay for the 10th person. He threatened to shut down the shoot despite models being in the midst of hair and makeup. He refused to allow payment for an extra person despite the space being vacant with the exception of our group. He did allow payment for an extra hour, until 6 pm. There was no fire code issue. with respect to the 10th person. He was rude and difficult to deal with for no apparent reason. He ruined the vibe of what had been a fun photo shoot to help launch the website of the stylists.I would never recommend this studio based on how the customers were treated. I've already told my husband, who books studios for his artists for photos and videos, not to ever use this studio. There are far too many other options in NYC to put up with this kind of behavior from a service provider.
November 21 · Katrina RaineyPictures look nice but today 2/9/19 walk fashion show had a casting here. There was enormous line outside and models were asked to wear hills and tank tops outside for hours during this freeze. There was a guy with black hat, very unprofessional, disorganized and answering aggressively to models questions. After waiting for a while me with some models decided to leave.I’ve done lots of castings and shows before and none of them were this extreme! You have to sacrifice a little and maybe suffer for success, but this was too much.I think he was accepting everyone and the quality of all this became questionable for me.
February 09 · Ana AladashviliWatch out for these dishonest peopleLike Nicholas at this company who is nice to you and polite until they collect your money. Then will try to weasel their way out of honoring their agreement with you by trying to show some vague line in a contract that they themselves do not adhere to.this guy took my money, deposit for an event and then the event is not even yet, he decided to cancel the event, keep my deposit that i now have to file a PayPal claim to recover.these people are thieves by way of making promises they cannot or refuse to keep.Stay way and work with people who mean what they say and willing to work with you for the money you are paying to them.
