★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Last night's show at the Mann was absolutely STUNNING..The fact that it rained made it even more beautiful and surreal. The dancers weren't dancing, they were telling a story. I don't know anyone who dance or did the choreography or set design but I am proud of them all.
May 04 · SirroI took a West African class here. It was incredible -- instructor was very dynamic, welcoming, and insanely talented. I'm a fan of the company as well. Highly recommend!!
June 06 · Trix MiddlekauffIf you're interested in taking dance classes, BalletX is the place to go. I'm relatively new to dancing (1.5 years), but I've taken a lot of classes at different studios around the city and there I don't think there are many places that can compete with their wonderful / friendly staff and incredible instructors.I mostly take Beginner Ballet with Amy Novinski who is probably one of the best Ballet instructors that you can find in the Philadelphia right now. As an instructor, she can be tough, but also engaging and encouraging. She seems to have this innate ability to read the people in a class and to come up with combinations that are appropriately challenging to everybody, regardless of skill level. As for her classes, they tend to be fairly quick paced and keep you busy – the time totally flies by. I literally cannot recommend her classes enough!I have also recently begun to take Stanley's Intro to Voguing class and Caili's Intro to Ballet class. What I really like about Stanley's class is that he not only teaches you to vogue, but that he gives you the room to be creative, to experiment with the tools he gives you, and to find your own sense of style. While I'm still very new to voguing (I didn't know what it was before taking the class), I feel like it's a great introduction to the style. Plus, I think that it's great for developing a better sense of self-confidence in performing / dancing in general. Then, I love Caili's Intro to Ballet class because of her high energy, her attentiveness to her students, and the clarity with which she responds to questions about ballet and technique. If you are looking to try ballet for the first time, I highly recommend Caili's class. She is going to help you build a solid foundation for ballet and you're going to be hooked pretty much immediately.TLDR: BalletX has amazing classes and instructors. There is definitely a class here for you. Go and take one!
January 27 · Deejay RamundoWe take son 2yr old son here on Sat mornings. He loves it. The woman who teaches the class has such amazing energy. She is wonderful.
October 06 · Ryan GolharI love the variety of options for open adult classes here! It makes dance accessible for people of all ages and backgrounds. The studios are massive and beautiful to dance in.
