They actually offer a lot of classes here. There are quite a few age and time slot options which is great to work around kids school schedules. Ms. Tina is bubbly and exciting and connects with the kids immediately, as do the staff she hired for the various classes. The class sizes are very manageable and quite small compared to some others - this is fantastic for my child as she benefits from a better experience. The location is great and easily accessible. Look at their website to get a list of the classes and times etc.... well worth it. - Liseli P.

Broadway Performing Art Center Introduce

For families in Upper Manhattan, especially in the vibrant community of Washington Heights, finding a high-quality, nurturing space for children to explore the performing arts is a top priority. Look no further than the Broadway Performing Art Center, a local gem that has become a beloved fixture since its founding in 2008. Created by professional dancer and choreographer Tina Casula, the center was born from a desire to provide a much-needed performing arts venue for children in a community that was previously underserved in this area. It's a place where every child, from the shy beginner to the budding star, can find their passion, build confidence, and grow as an artist.

The philosophy at Broadway Performing Art Center is simple yet profound: provide a positive, encouraging environment where children can learn and thrive. This approach is evident in the glowing reviews from parents who consistently highlight the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The instructors, handpicked by Ms. Tina, are not only skilled dancers with diverse backgrounds—many coming from Broadway and international productions—but are also dedicated educators who genuinely care about their students' success. They foster a sense of joy and self-expression, making each class a memorable and valuable experience. The center’s manageable class sizes are a significant advantage, ensuring that every child receives the individual attention they need to flourish, a feature that many parents find invaluable in their child's dance education.

Beyond the technical training, the center is a place where young people learn about discipline, teamwork, and the joy of creative expression. The annual dance recital is a highlight for students and families, offering a chance for the dancers to showcase their hard work in top-of-the-line costumes and a professional setting. This event not only gives students a performance goal to work toward but also creates a sense of pride and accomplishment that lasts long after the final bow.
