★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The studio itself is nice and the instruction can be good, but the overall experience feels like it's centered more on extracting money than nurturing dancers. Families are nickel and dimed at every turn. From high tuition costs to multiple mandatory fees throughout the year. Want your child to perform on stage? That’ll be extra. But all they do in class is learn the routine for the stage so why even bother going unless you pay to perform on stage? Want to actually watch the performance? You’ll need to pay for tickets, no comps, even for parents. And despite all the money taken in, they still ask for backstage volunteers to make the show run.We recently signed up for another session, only to receive an email after the fact stating that all dancers are now required to take two ballet classes per week, a huge increase in both time and financial commitment, with no regard for how this impacts families. If you're looking for a fun, supportive place for your kids to learn and enjoy dance without being treated like a walking wallet, this is not it.
August 03 · j bigAlready signed up for the season and then get a email that I have to double my payment because they "require" elementary school kids to take at least two classes per week. No, this doesn't mean your class gets an extra day, it means you now pay twice as much to add a second class or you are kicked out.STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU ARE RICH
August 03 · Mark BMy daughter started at the Dance Conservatory of Maryland last winter with a free trial dance class that we heard about at an event. I wasn’t sure what to expect— but we fell in love with the class and have signed her up for every session since! Her teacher, Mrs. Diane, is wonderful and I’m so happy that my daughter will get to learn from her for years to come! The environment is so friendly and warm, the staff has always been so helpful, and I’m so thankful we signed her up for that first initial class! I can’t imagine a better company to be a part of! Highly recommend!
October 13 · Kate KnoppI absolutely love this school. The teachers are amazing. They are very professional. All you have to do to come to their open house and you will never go anywhere else. My girl was taking ballet classes for 4 years at another school before we came to this school and now 6 months later i see such a huge progress in her technique. I am very satisfied.
February 17 · Yana TaranProfessionally trained dance teachers and fantastic performing opportunities make DCM a great place to enroll your child. They focus on proper technique and individual growth of the students.
