★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My 4 1/2 year old daughter attends Merritt. This is her second year. She loves it. I have no poor treatment of my daughter to report. To the contrary. She is happy and safe, and learning so much. I highly recommend Merritt!
September 17 · AshleyBeware of Ms Merritt! If you google a great dance studio it simply says warm, comforting and inviting. This place is anything but that. Absolutely in disgust with the way I heard the owner treated my daughter while my wife had to listen in behind a door and (the teacher Ms Merritt) not knowing she was there, all for a kinder class she had this evening. If you think taunting and picking on a three year old is acceptable then this is your place. I would highly recommend NO one gives this lady another cent.
December 07 · Pete I.It looks like one child had a bad incident and they got the entire family or friends to write a horrible review. Pretty obvious actually. My daughter has been going to Merritts for over 6 years and we have had an awesome experience! Mrs. Merritt has been amazing to these kids. She has been doing this for many years and is very well respected in the industry. My daughter loves her and has never said anything negative whatsoever about how she is treated there. And believe me I would know right was mistreated in any way. My daughter would absolutely not deal with it. This is definitely the best place to go around here.
January 12 · BillBE AWARE!! Merritt dance studio has been around for a long time , I’ve had family and friends dance there. I decided to get my daughter into the kinder class. Her first class went as expected for a three year old. Second class the teenage girl who helps walked my daughter up after class and said she did well but Ms Merritt yelled at her and said that Ms Merritt can sometimes be mean. Tonight was our third class and we will never go back! I saw my daughter walk off the screen, so I walked down the stairs to listen, and find my daughter crying for my husband and myself as Ms Merritt taunted her, calling her a baby in front of the other children. The way this women speaks to children is disgusting.
December 07 · Allie WadeThe best dance studio in the Schenectady area. Mrs. Merritt and her daughter Mara teach the classes and each have more dance teaching experience than anyone in the area. The studio is a clean and friendly environment and they will teach your kids to dance better than you could have ever imagined. The things they do with these kids are absolutely amazing. You will not regret sending your child to this place.
